TiiPii Large 1.8m Hanging Daybed

The Best Day Bed Around – I have had mine 3 years now. I bought the bed, cover and stand. I find it relatively easy to take down and put away. The metal ring around the bed is the only part that needs two people really. It is as portable as a large tent. I have used their customer service which were fantastic. I would recommend.
Purchased in for $897.
Not Worth it – Bed is not only not portable but our started ripping after two years and became unable to use it. We were told when we inquired that this was "normal wear and tear" and we were invited to buy a new one. Don't think so.
Purchased in at tiipii for $800.
After full payment, Delivery was over 2 months late – The Delivery was over 2 months late. Poor communication, they never informed me delivery was going to be delayed I had to keep on emailing and calling and asking for a delivery date and they had no idea when it was going to be delivered. Not even one apology. Very disappointed with this poor costumer service I sincerely leave this review so that the seller can improve and avoid that other buyers go through this unfair experience.
Purchased in for $1,000.
Great hammock bed, but NOT portable – Let me start out and say that the tiipii bed, when assembled, is great. Comfortable hanging round platform that covered in cushions makes a lovely spot to snooze, for 2 or 3 people. However the ease of assembly and instructional video is completely misleading. The cheerful whistling soundtrack where you carry the neat carry bag to your camp site, assemble the bed in two minutes, and hang it up is just not going to happen.
In reality, the metal rim on the 1.8m unit we bought is a lot more sturdy than the version on the video, which is probably a good thing, however where accompanying instructions say "considerable strength may be required" to join the last two sections, they were not kidding. In practice it took two days of forcing and stretching the thing with the assistance of clamps before it finally went in. It will eventually go in, so be patient, but not during that day picnick the ad suggests.
And from here, you may as well throw away the neat carry bag because there is no way this sucker is coming apart again. Which means it stays where it is permanently, or you have to find somewhere to store a 1.8m disk.
So a mixed review, the product itself is really good, but the don't expect it to be easy, and don't expect to ever fit it back in that bag!
