I purchased a 4 pack of these devices approximately 2 years ago. During that time 3 have failed completely. The devices suddenly go into a rapid loud clicking mode, turning off and on continually. connected into one device and a $2000 medical device into another. Fortunately I was able to disconnect the smart plug before damage was caused.

I have been in contact with KASA but received a very jumbled and disjointed "AI" generated response that made no sense at all.

From reading many different articles on line in relation to this problem, it appears to be very common.

I do not have confidence in these devices and am going to dispose of them, including the device that is still operating "at the moment".

It would be wise to seek an alternative device rather than the KASA brand.
