Does the eglide system work on long hairs?

tmacg
tmacg

Hi Anne Marie,

The instructions recommend cutting the hair before treatment.

All systems will recommend cutting the hair before treatment.

Does the eglide electrolysis system work on breast hairs? Do you use the conductive gel on breast hairs?

Hi Anne Marie, I haven’t tried it myself but I imagine that it will.

I’ve moved on from the eGlide to a Silk’n product, it is a laser product and I woukd

Hi Chickaroo, I no longer have the device, it was effective but slow so I moved to the Silk'n Infinity - another great device with amazing results over 3 treatments (6 weeks) Am following the directions and as such I have more than a few months to go but does face bikini under arm and legs in about 30 minutes and is good for far and fair skin as well as grey hair. Check it out on the Silk'n site

Would love to know if anyone has tried their own conductive gel? I've been thinking of using some Aloe vera gel??

tmacg

Aloe isn't enough alone you need to use an ultrasound gel.

You can buy ultrasound gel fairly cheaply online - I found some on a physiotherapy supply site, I think.

Could you use this product to remove hair from bikini area for a full Brazilian?

bondinm

I returned this product an overpriced, falsely advertised, useless piece of equipment

Save your money - not worth the effort required

tmacg
tmacg

Where you can roll the device, you can remove hair. Remember though, you're using the machine to retard and stop the hair growth but it doesn't remove the hair... you still have ti wax ir tweeze the hair after a treatment

Bought an e-glide a little while ago and constantly have trouble getting good contact? Works occasionally but most of the time I just get very frustrated. It appears to be very hit and miss. Any ideas?

bondinm

I actually returned it almost immediately far too complicated for me. Advertising was total lies. My only suggestion may be the gel

only when the batteries needed replacing

Should I buy Verseo eGlide Home Electrolysis Hair Removal Roller ?

bondinm
bondinm

In my opinion it is an absolute waste of money. Has always been falsely advertised and in truth would require a lot of time and patience with no guarantee of success

tmacg
tmacg

This device does require ALOT of time and patience, I have had some success and since I've already spent the money I stand by my decision and will continue to use it. I have grey hair and as a result there are really that many options available for me for permanent hair removal. I strongly suggest that you do what I did, do your research and then do it again.

I'm a little confused. If you are only allowed to use the device for 30 minutes a day, that's 3 parts on my leg for example. Do I go over the same 3 areas each day, over 3 months with a day or 2 off a week? It doesn't say anywhere in the instructions how frequently you should do an area.

If you go over the same area each day for 3 months it's going to take years to do my entire leg!!

tmacg
tmacg

I completely understand, reading the instructions. I have interpreted it my own way, in that, a leg is a pretty large space considering the size of the roller. I do a different section of my legs each day, kind of like a cycle, by the time I get to the end of the cycle I start again Remember about the cyclic nature of hair growth as well this will help it your approach. One more point, if you have the eGlide system you can contact Verseo direct - I found their customer service adequate, that is, they respond to questions promptly.

bondinm

I think if you have purchased this machine you have wasted your money.

There is no truth in the advertising a d if used for 10 minutes at a time as suggested the job wl never be done .... I don't have this much time

Can you wax after you use the e glide?

Yes, waxing is recommended by the manufacturer

bondinm

Kind of defeats the purpose of buying this machine. Save your money keep waxing - the machine is useless

Hello, I am 13 and have started using the eglide on my legs. I was wondering how often should I be using it and how long should I keep the process going until I see permadent results? Also do I need to wax after every time I use it?

Thanks x

MH
MH

I don't know how often you should use it - the instructions don't give any indication. I used mine every 1-2 weeks but that may be too frequent. It took a few months before I saw permanent results so be patient.

I would recommend you shave afterwards rather than wax. The trouble with waxing or tweezing is that if any of the hairs weren't zapped, waxing will remove them and you won't get another chance at that one until it grows again.

tmacg
tmacg

Hi Charlotte7810, the instructions included with eGlide are pretty specific about the maximum weekly exposure a user should have to the eGlide. Removing the hair after each session gives quicker results.

How bad is the pain of the laser and the tweesing after though? Is it easier to just wax?!

tmacg
tmacg

There is minimal pain if any using the Verseo eGlide roller, it is not a laser type applicaton it is electrolysis. If you can wax, then wax.. some others prefer to tweeze particularly if the hair is not long enough for a waxing application.

You would not laser after using teh Verseo eGlide.

Has anyone tried using an epilator to remove hairs after using eglide instead of tweezering? It is the same principal and would be much quicker if you can adapt to the pain as I have. I am thinking of still buying an elide even after reading reviews.

tmacg
tmacg

I haven't tried an epilator, thanks for the suggestion, I wonder do you have to let the hair grow out to 2mm to use it where as with a pair of good glasses and excellent tweezers no waiting

annamel
annamel

Hi, I have an epilator, and have been using it for years and have gotten used to the pain, its actually not that painful if you do it regularly, if I am lucky, the hairs only start appearing in the 3rd or 4th month

I have noticed much less growth and its alot less pain whenever you then decide to have a one-off wax.

How old do u have to be to use the product? I'm a 14 year old girl and am really hairy.

tmacg
tmacg

Hi Biancaaaa, this is something you should discuss with your Parents or Guardians. The treatments are non invasive and the Verseo provides guidelines on use but not age. I'm so sorry but I cannot provide you with any guidance.

You say only to use it 10 minutes a week. But is that only in the same area or all over my legs. I have quiet alot of hair and if I have to use it only 10 minutes a week in one small area, this is going to be a very long process for me

bondinm
bondinm

I agree definitely NOT a 10 minute a week job

Donna24

The system is promoted as a pain free permanent hair reduction device but yet you are expected to tweezer out hair after treatment. How is that different from waxing (pain wise) or are the hairs "released" by the eGlide treatment and come out without pain?

tmacg
tmacg

Hi Donna, Verseo the manufacturers of the eGlide suggest tweezing and/or waxing will produce the fastest results for permanent hair removal. I find tweezing a little painful but not waxing. Users who prefer not to wax or tweeze because the find it painful can shave the hair, it means it will take a little longer to achieve the result you want. You would need to contact external link  for the answer in respect of the "release" the hair question. I can confirm from personal experience that after a couple of weeks, the hair returns much finer than when I started. I like a product with options and eGlide has it.

Shaving is only a temporary measure would defeat the purpose of using this machine.

can you shave before using it? or do you have to remove the entire hair? i cant wax my skin, too sensitive and i cant imagine plucking my legs.

tmacg
tmacg

Hey Jesse, sometimes the hair can't be waxed. Here's what I do: Shower, do not shave Apply conductive gel Use eGlide Shave The eGlide works on the root so it will need the hair there to make contact with for it to work.

Like everything you need to find the best approach for you also the eGlide comes with a very information booklet and support at their website. I've tried contacting the website and had no response what so ever.
