Lasted 8 years . Tv was used every single day for the time – After 8 years it has died. It was used every single day all day mostly . I just wish I could fix it and give it to someone doing it tough. Sure it was the greatest but with a fetch or Telstra box it was great Show details

Cheap & nasty – USB functionality is non existent. No matter what usb or hard drive you plug into the tv, you select media, and then go to select the drive, it will not allow you to select anything further. The arrows work but pressing ok does not work. Also, the source button for shifting between tv, dvd, hdmi etc often freezes so it is difficult to get lower than hdmi 1. Sometimes I’m unable to get from dtv source to anything else. Show details

Piece of crap – Absolutely a waste of money Remote never works Can’t connect to apps And numerous other issues make this television a piece of crap basically. Stores in Australia should be ashamed of themselves for selling second rate goods. Show details

The tv always stops loading Netflix. The only way is to factory reset every week or two. Takes about 20mins – My Smart operating system is flawed and really annoying. Regret buying a Viano Tv and wont again. It freezes and wont load apps with the only option to fix is to re-set the tv back to factory (factory re-set) takes ages and has even caused arguments with my partner because I havent fixed it immediately and Ben though I didnt even bloody know it decided to stop working again for the millionth bloody time. Show details

Great TV but no HD Channel Tuner – This TV has been great for years with no problems. However, Viano neglected to highlight an essential functional deficiency within the features and specifications. It is important that customers are aware of this technicality for this and other older manufactered TVs. This TV does not have an MPEG 4 capable video decoder. It uses the old MPEG 2… Read more

format. This means that after buying this TV and with the introduction and expansion of HD channels in Australia, this TV was not capable of displaying those channels. The tuner can find the frequencies and identify broadcasted HD channels, but without the HD decoder, it cannot display them. The solution is to purchase a MPEG 4 compliant video decoder digital set-top box capable of HDTV. To view 1080i broadcast HDTV, use only a quality HDMI cable between the set-top box and TV. Don't let the cable be the weak link. Not all HDMI cables are the same. If you get a late version spec model, then you are not limited to just this specific old tech basic function when the TV finally needs replacing.

Been working fine for 3 years now after 2 replacements initially – At first this tv was a pain and the issue with having 2 replacements was that the second one was defective out of the box... this happened years ago (possibly around 2014) and since then the one I have now is still kicking butt! Somehow still working perfectly fine after 4 odd years. It’s got a bit of rust in the ports but they still manage. This… Read more

tv initially started its life for outdoor use but a big concern was that there are 3 mosquitos dead beneath the desplay close to the centre of the screen which was something I have never seen before from past tvs. After a year of owning it, it was moved to my room inside which I then used for gaming purposes. It still sits in the same spot 3 years later and there are very little to complain about. Obviously isn’t the most vibrant TV out there but gets the job done. There is no noticeable input lag so that isn’t a problem either. My other concern was that, since it is so old, is that USB movies are mostly unsupported and is very limited. It’s a very basic tv and I never knew which tv i owned (my parents bought it) until I stumbled across this page :) it’s currently coming to the end of its life as a new LG 55UK6540PTD will be taking its place. Gotta say, not a bad tv when it works as it should.

Nice cheap TV! – Nice easy and simple to use! Pros: Brilliant display, no complaints it does full 1080p which works perfect with my Xbox One. Has a vesa mount for wall or desk mounting which I use. Has a built in DVD player which works well. Decent USB playback. Stylish design. Has lasted me about 3 years Good customer service - I broke my first TV from… Read more ·  1

them due to an accidental power surge and they gave me a brand new one free.

Cheap!

Cons:

Well the sound is complete crap, even when using the headphone jack on it I get an odd extremely annoying buzzing sound which is very noticeable. I have had to purchase a HDMI audio extractor as well as a soundbar to get around this.

While the picture is great the OSD isn't the best, it works great and is easy to navigate but just doesn't look to great.

Short External Power Brick, meaning if the TV is on a desk or somewhere high then you'll need an extension cord or something.

It's very cheaply made meaning that some of the connectors are wobbly and can be easily damaged, my VGA port stopped working one day after using it for only a week. I didn't bother trying to get a replacement...

Great value – I already own a cheap large Tv, but needed another one for second lounge. Saw this at big w for about $400, so cheap. It works well, but audio is bad. I will connect my speaker system to sort problem . very happy so far. It has 3 hdmi, computer connection. It's ultra hd but still haven't tried that feature. Works great, for the most part – The only issue I have with it - and problem has been there from day one - is the overscan. About 5% of the image is cut off by the overscan, image is zoomed slightly and I can find no way to turn it off. It's not worth worrying about most of the time, but when my kids play games on the tv it sometimes cuts vital information out. Normally, I'd just… Read more

turn off overscan and the issue would be gone, but there doesn't appear to be a setting for it. Can anyone advise?

Waste of money – Never again will we try a no name brand TV. Our Viano is the biggest piece of crap. for us and had problems with that remote. Universal remotes do not work, has to be Viano remote. NetFlix forever doesn't work and have to switch TV off at wall and restart. No other apps that I have tried like Stan, Disney etc Work. Everything is just too hard. Just want a TV do what it is supposed to do. Such a waste. Surprised that BIG W stock such a crappy brand, we thought they would only stock decent TVs.

Tv no good after 10 months use – TV's back light gone only after 10 months of use! Annoying sound that always makes when Turing TV on and itconnects to the internet. Do not recommend a viano branded TV. Using the apps are quiet annoying. And sometimes would just close. Wireless casting/mirror screening closes when trying to cast phone to the smart tv. Show details

Terrible lifespan. Big ripoff. Do not buy – This is the second Viano we have had, the first died within 12 months, we claimed warranty however it was unable to be fixed so after two months of waiting we were issued a refund. We decided to give a second chance and paid a little extra for the bigger TV after this as a replacement and this time it died after 19 months. These TVs are not designed to last, will never purchase again. Pay the extra for a TV that will last. Show details

Awful. Load of Rubbish "DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND" – This has the worst interface I have ever seen on ANY TV..! quite pathetic really,! The App sections is THE worst ever, you can not simply just down load… Read more

any app, STAN and Disney Plus is a HUGE NO GO.! you can not use it or them on this TV. It is slow, remote lasts 6 months, terrible quality. Don't bother calling them to help you, take it straight back to Big W and ask for a full refund or a newer version.

How red faced Big W must be to have such rubbish in their stores.

Fantastic LED TV for the price- never had any issues – I really dont know how anyone can complain about this great value TV. Viano use 1st grade LED TV panels and it shows in the wonderful picture. Sure enough the sound is nothing like your Samsung or LG TVs but neither is the price. I only paid $398 for this TV in 2014 and that was half the price of the big name brands. It was a no brainer. And I… Read more

have used this as our main TV in the lounge room ever since. If you have an issue with the sound just make some adjustments in the sound menu to suit your taste or run it through external speakers or a sound bar as many do even with the big name brands. Simple fix. Dont complain! The remote is well laid out and still working perfectly as well. Again dont know why people are complaining. Simply put this is the best value 47" TV your money can buy, new or used.

Worst TV I’ve ever had – I bought 2 of these thinking I was getting good quality TV’s at a reasonable price. I have 1 at home & 1 at our holiday house. Both are crap. Best in the price range – I did not want to spend a thousand dollars on a TV as I am on budget. What do you know, not only did I spend a fraction of that, I got a decent TV which is definately bang for the buck. I have not faced any issues so far and along with mulah in my pocket, the TV feels even better. Go for it! Show details

decent quality for the price. highly recommended – purchased last month and been using for a month and have no problems so far. it's a bargain for money that you spend on. decent picture quality and fast response and has everything I needed for a TV unit. (some well known brand TVs entry level TVs are pretty slow even they are more expensive) i'd highly recommend this product to anyone who doesn't really care for big brand names in a market. Show details
