Victorinox Steak Knife & Fork Set

Steak knives only - Brilliant – This review is for the steak knives only. A fork is a fork is a fork, they make no difference to a meal. However, a knife can either make a meal easy and pleasurable or difficult and cumbersome. I was given a set of these knives in 2001. Recently I purchased some more. I can barely tell the difference between the old and new. That is how good the quality is. I use these every single day and the 17 year old ones are still as sharp as they were all those years ago. I have had other steak knives, but gave them to the op shop. These are the only ones you need to own. Tomatoes are very easy to cut with these too. They are a potentially tricky fruit to cut. A straight knife never does the job as well as a serrated one. These knives cut through anything. Steak is a breeze. I have always chucked them in the dishwasher and have had zero handle problems. I also bought the potato peeler. It is great quality and still as sharp as day one. Highly recommend!

They actually work – These are great, stay sharp & cut through meat with ease. The forks are also quite sharp and good to use with steak. They are worth the cost and you can throw out all those other mixed up knifes & forks in your kitchen draw. The knifes are sharp so don't let the little ones use them. they do what they are meant to do

Last forever – We received a Victorinox set as a wedding present 24 years ago. Over the years the kids did snap some knives so we recently replaced the knives with more Victorinox. They are just as good as the older ones, there has been no decrease in quality over the years. Just don't use the knives as screw drivers or to cut cardboard! Knives retain their sharpness for years. Forks are a good weight & size. Knives can snap if you use them incorrectly, ie, digging out hard honey or peanut butter - better to use a butter knife

Best set ever! – I have owned this set for over 25 years and it is still as good as new. While not as glamorous looking as some, this set is practical in every sense. It washes beautifully in the dishwasher, can be used every day in the kitchen and doubles as a very sharp kitchen utility knife.
