Expensive purchase for a product that only worked for 3 years! – Has been in use for 3 years and the temperature control no longer working. Have had a technician in to look at it, checked the gas and it appears there is very little gas and am looking at upwards of $1000- to repair! repairing & this breaks my heart - this is a luxury item, I don't think I will take the risk of spending upwards of $3000- to replace it.

My kitchen was renovated to accommodate this addition.

Be warned, problems with the cooling system – I purchased a newer model V155SGes3 in 2013. After six months, it had an internal gas leak, which was found not serviceable and the unit was replaced. evaporator is made of copper and it began to cover with green corrosion, because of humidity. Due to air circulation, this green corrosion is blown in form of green dust from the inside and into the cabinet space and covers the bottles at the bottom shelf.

It has a great external design, many sliding shelves and reversible door hinge (the s3 model). Along with high capacity, it could be a good buy, if not the technical problems with the cooling system.

Buy a proper wine cabinet – Purchased my Vintec in January 2014. Stopped cooling in April 2015- out of 12 month warranty. High Cost of Ownership – I purchased my unit about 4 years ago. It had been fine until just before Christmas 2013 when it could no longer hold the set temperature and just heated up. It took 8 weeks to get a service call costing nearly $150 to be told that the evaporator had leaked all the refrigerant and replacement would cost $900. Very unimpressed! It looks smart. Unreliable

10-30 years time only to find out they had gone off, due to incorrect storage and temperate. Neither of us really knew much about wine storage fridges, so I did a few google searches, and narrowed it down to Vintec or Liebherr. I decided on Vintec because I was happy with the price, and also because I liked the shelving better. Vintec seemed sturdier. The instructions that came with it, were very easy to understand, and even had recommendations on what temperate different wines should be stored at. The one thing I really like about the Vintec V155SG e is the way it looks. Its streamline, with a stainless steel and glass door. It looks modern and has really enhanced the look of my kitchen.
