We have had our vitalcall for several years . On Friday we had to use it for the first time . The reassurance that an ambulance had been called was comforting for both myself and my husband. Staff were very caring and compassionate and informative and told us to stay near our phone as ambulance would be calling us . The ambulance called us within… Read more ·  1

a minute of me getting of the phone from vitalcall and guided me to what to do next . Thankfully getting help quick saved his life . We had use it again 2 days later and the service was yet again Excellent as the second time round it was more serious. Special thank you to Gemma and Dillan for keeping me so calm and for getting us help so promptly.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I received from VitalCALL today. I was contacted regarding an issue with a credit card on file, which I am happy to resolve. However, the subsequent interaction was highly inappropriate. My 88-year-old grandfather is currently refusing to wear his pendant, and I requested to put the… Read more

service on hold for a few weeks while I work with him to use it. I was told this was possible only if I returned the equipment, which I was under the impression we had purchased.

Furthermore, the representative questioned why they were speaking with me instead of my grandfather. My grandfather is 88, significantly hearing impaired, and does not understand the technicalities of the system. To suggest I should not be managing this for him is both insensitive and inflexible given the circumstances.

This approach is disgraceful and shows a complete lack of understanding for families in difficult situations. I expect a better level of support from a company that claims to prioritize care and compassion.

Raphael the Vitalcall installer – Raphael the field installer was great, very friendly and professional. Explaination of equipment was spot on and it was evident he cared about his customers. Would definitely recommend him to friends and family, especially when entrusting the wellbeing and care of elderly loved ones with the setup of this service. Show details ·  1

An essential medical tool for aging singles – Have had Vital Call at home since I came home from hospital at the end of June last year. I’m only 66, a retired RN/Midwife & I sustained a fall in my driveway in the pouring rain in early May ‘24 sustaining a complex compound fracture involving the 2 bones in my lower R leg. I was anxious about going home as I’ve had a fall outside before & had… Read more ·  1

one previously in the shower in my previous home. I had had my husband with me for the previous 2 falls which I didn’t injure myself severely enough to have to go to hospital but as my husband had passed away just prior to Christmas ‘23 I now had no one at home. I live in an over 55’s village but on a hilly block with 13 stairs at the front & 3 at the rear with no railing at the side of the house on a narrow path that drops off 70cm at the top as it’s on a slope. I wanted peace of mind that I could get help if required & the OT in Rehab organised this service for me as it would be covered by DVA as my husband had been a TPI Gold Card holder, therefore as a DVA Widow I could have this service. The consultant Nikki who came out to set it up explained everything well & was very friendly. Even though I’ve had some false alarms with setting the pendants off, the staff are prompt with their response & don’t make you feel stupid. I just feel that the wrist alarm would be better as it wouldn’t go off when I lean forward sometimes & the pendant detects that as a fall. DVA doesn’t cover the wrist alarm. I recommend this for anyone on their own, whether young or old & it could just save a life.

to say they were taking my wife to hospital. Normally she says she doesn't want to go but this time she clearly knew it was serious. The hospital treated her well & had her transferef to another one which handles broken backs. The next morning a doctor phoned me to say she wante to have all the tubes removed as she didn't want to be a vegatable & said she didn't want to be revived. The doctor asked me if I agreed & I said that was her wish, so he had the tubes removed. Two of my sons & I got to the hospital about lunch time to find her in bed altnernating between sleep & awake. At 5pm she told us to go home, so we left, at 5.20pm a nurse called us to come back quickly. We ruched back to find she had passed away during those 20 minutes. Thanks to the vital call my 2 sons & I were alerted to her fall & follow up medical care, now I have the vital call.

Great service over the years that Mum has had the service. Used a number of time to seek assistance. Peace of mind for family and allowing Mum to stay at home and maintain her independence Even cancelling the service and returning the equipment was seamless Thanks VitalCALL Show reply

Follow-up  · The VitalCALL service works by Mum being able to push a button on her pendant (worn on a chain around the neck) that automatically calls the VitalCALL service. Their experience quickly, correctly identified then accurately specified our needs. A most satisfying experience – As with most senior falls, they are entirely unexpected. My 85 year old sister had one fall and "a could not get up after getting down on the floor to pick up some clothing" incident - in the space of two weeks. On both occasions her son (a fully traind aged care worker), who lives a looong way away, happened to be there, for his weekly… Read more ·  1

overnight check-in and care giving. It was immediately apparent his Mum was at risk from an incident happening when she was on her own.

A quick internet review found three potential fall detector alarms. The second one was VitalCall. I knew of their product from having it installed in our house when my wife's parents were living with us - back in the days of copper land-line telephone services. I had noted on their website that the modern services still used the same approach: an in-home station device that uses Wi-Fi and the 4G network. Richard explained how it worked. No surprise: it was basically the same process but uses current technology. Which is as it should be. If you have a tried and proven (over 40 years) process, why change it when it only needs "upgrading the hardware"?

The hugely satisfying things Richard did for us were: (1) to show us that the service we thought we would need (because of my sister's circumstances) was more than she actually needed; (2) that because we needed a "spare" pendant, the change to Richard's lower cost solution could support two pendants (neck and wrist type) and, (3) that not only did both pendants have several years of battery life, their Queensland Emergency Response Centre checked the battery levels at each monthly check-in, and, those pendants are automatically replaced when the battery in each device is approaching its end of life. No flat batteries from forgetting to charge pendants in Richard's recommended solution.

All that was achieved in about twice the time it took to write and check this review! Why? Because Richard's family had dealt with a closely related set of circumstances to my sister's for a long period, some years ago. We didn't have to go into "word by word" detailed discussions. We were able to talk in "paragraphs". So together we were able to quickly and correctly identify our needs and accurately specify them. That is a most satisfying experience.

It didn't take long to agree VitalCall was indeed the right call for us.

The decision to upgrade to VitalCall was life-changeing – My mum has had a health care wristband alert system since 2012 (with a different company, which I won't name because they did provide a good service whilst we used them). We decided to upgrade her equipment because her wristband had now become too cumbersome & easy to set off unnecessarily due to her accidentally leaning against a hard surface.… Read more ·  1

After some research, we discovered VitalCall and our Homecare Package provider approved the upgrade.

There are a number of operational differences between both alert systems, with VitalCall definitely proving to be the better option now, given the various family member location in relation to mum's address & living situation, such as:

* Wristband is much more discreet, less cumbersome and only has a centre flat surface button to press, instead of two side buttons sticking out from the unit * Signal good for upto 350 metres from the home base, previous system only good for upto 50 metres * If the wristband wearer is away from home for more than a few hours e.g. at another address, they will call next of kin because their system is showing that the wristband is out of range from the home base (we got a phone call over Christmas as mum stayed at our place for a night & was wearing her wristband)

With VitalCall there is no need to provide a list of five family/friends living in close proximity to the wristband wearer, as they recognise that some people don't have a support network to rely on (see note below).

All you need to do is: * Provide address & home number of where the alert wearer resides, they send a technician to the property to install the system. * Provide at least one contact # of a either next-of-kin, friend or organisation in case of emergency

If the button is activated: * They immediately call the number of the wristband wearer's location * If no response is received, they will call emergency services (less time is wasted contacting other people on a list) NOTE: Family & friends contact details constantly change, which means we would always have to update mum's network of family & friends information as and when required.

After only one week of changing systems, we had the 1st of three (3) occassions where we needed medical assistance & in all three instances, after pressing the little grey button, we were contacted within one (1) minute by a team member, medical assessment made very quickly and paramedics arrived within 30 mins, transported mum to ED, and seen by medical staff at the hospital, being admitted each time.

I cannot speak highly enough of VitalCall, I sincerely believe they have changed my mum's & family's lives. Thankyou to the VitalCall team and everyone associated.

Works as expected but can't customize – I bought it for my dad and he has a fall and help arrived no questions. It was very good service and customer support. backward , not what customer want be what viral call want. This is not what I would say the product should be design. I understand emergency services don't cost but sad sat in toilet seat with pendulum and it trigger the alarm. Emergency services breaking and damaged $2000 dire safety door that he has to pay for force entry. Dad found in toilet still sitting. Have they waited for a minute I had a camera inside to watch dad and could have told them it's ok we don't need emergency services.

With this I am buying apple watch and customise it. It will do what I want not hear vital call want. Nice supporting people but Pathetic design not factoring the what customer want.

DO NOT trust this company with your loved ones. They failed my mother grievously on two separate occasions putting her in more danger than she was already. I would thoroughly recommend Vital Call. The staff are extremely helpful, competent, pleasant and easy to deal with. The response team is exceptional. I am at ease when I have to leave my husband at home as I know expert help is only minutes away via the Vital Call base unit. Every month I am prompted to check the Vital Call home pendant and Go Pendant so that they are always working. I would give them a 10/10. Show details ·  1

Mum and Dad used VitalCALL for approx. 10 years. Over that time whenever they called VC they had a quick response by professional and caring consultants. I also received a call to alert me that something had happened and always felt reassured to know that help was on the way. This is a great service and I have and will continue to recommend VC. Show reply
