Slow communication, their automatic response states 48 hours, I waited 3 days. Then you get repetitive answers without further clarifying or offering explanations, so you have to wait days again to get any simple answer clarification. Not everyone can speak on the phone during the work week, but they don’t seem to care. Very inflexible, cannot move dates or tend to your very simple requests as a consumer.
My experience with this finance service has been incredibly frustrating. Their online portal stated that my account is cleared (no dues) within 1 day from the payment, yet it took over 7 days just to generate a simple closure letter. What was originally supposed to be a 3 day process kept getting delayed first to 7 days, then another “48 hours,”… Read more
which only moved forward after I escalated the matter further. I called them every single day, but the representative sounded robotic, repeatedly reading from their policy and conditions scripts with no sense of urgency, no understanding of the impact on the customer, and absolutely no empathy. Not once did anyone take ownership or attempt to resolve the issue proactively. Because of these unnecessary delays, I ended up incurring penalty fees on my end, which could have been avoided if they had processed the closure on time. It genuinely feels like they try to squeeze as much money out of customers as possible. I strongly do NOT recommend this company. Their service is slow, unhelpful, and financially draining. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

mistakes, I did take them to QCAT a while ago where I won easily as they were wrong. This time, after spending 15 minutes with a lady over the phone on 9th of January, requesting to stop the direct debit from a certain bank account on the next day, 10th, as I was making a BPAY payment instead, and having her confirmation of the request, i open my account to see it, surprisingly, or not actually, showing negative $978.81, the amount plus $6 as dishonour fee by the bank as they still tried charging me!! Even after her confirming direct debit payments would stop until further notice by me!! Not finished yet, calling this morning to solve the problem was pretty much told "you need to contact your bank and tell them so they should reverse the charge." WHAT?! I NEED TO CONTACT THEM AFTER YOU GUYS F... UP AGAIN?!" And then, she gives me a number to solve an on-line access issue I'm having on their website that doesn't connect, with the message ""The number dialled is not in service at this time."" WTH!!!!!!! I CANNOT WAIT TILL JUNE WHEN IM FINISHED DEALING WITH YOU GUYS, IM SO DONE WITH YOUR LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM, COMPROMISE AND CARE TOWARDS YOUR CUSTOMERS!!

Ive had good experience with this lender, i downloaded the portal and could see every transaction, could change financial details and right to the end, it was no fuss, all paid off now.

We made our final loan payment on 9 May 2025. When we followed up on 15 May, we were told they couldn’t locate the funds. After pushing further, the payment was “found” and backdated to 14 May - no explanation and no apology.
From there, we were told we’d have to wait seven days from that backdated “receipt” before a closure letter could even be generated. We were also told that unless we specifically called to request the letter be emailed (not posted), they’d just mail it - possibly taking weeks to arrive.
We were reassured by multiple staff that the closure letter would be issued and emailed as a priority on 21 May. That didn’t happen either. It took multiple follow-ups, escalation, and us calling again the next day before the letter was finally emailed.
To be clear: we did eventually receive the closure letter, but only after 12 days, numerous calls, and constantly being given conflicting information.
After fully repaying a $75,000 loan (from 100,000 + for R Line Touareg, this is not the level of service anyone should expect. If you're considering financing through VWFS - don’t. There are lenders who actually communicate clearly, take accountability, and respect your time. VWFS is not one of them.
Worst finance provider I have ever dealt with. Something as simple as updating direct debit details flat out doesn't work, meaning you have to rely on abysmal customer service. The service portal lacks basic security features like MFA, which is a bare minimum in this day and age with data breaches left right and centre.
VW Financial Services a DIS-service to VW vehicles! – Did not e-mail a statement to me as agreed. Continued payments were taken off the balloon payment, when suddenly they woke up and demanded settlement.

CS representative was rude but when escalated to their “supervisor” he was the rudest person I’ve ever dealt with and when requested to escalate further I was told it can’t be, he was the final stage of escalation and it wouldn’t go further unless I emailed them. I was then advised that he would be placing me on hold until I hung up. Appalling customer service is an understatement and I will never use them again or purchase a vehicle that utilises their services!!!!

loan, Worst decision ever made going with this finance. Calling them is just like why bother. Takes few weeks to get reply to any email. Wanted to payout but ended up paying interest for more weeks, only because I had to wait for their ridiculous reply which was of literally 4 lines saying we are not here to help but to rip you off. I wish I kept the record of the conversation with that guy who said he was giving us the "best rate" of 6.99 but no on paper it was 7.29. Trusting the brand was the worst nightmare ever. It was so stressful to deal with them. Never buying VW or any other cars this financial company deals with.

and having to ID myself multiple times without actually solving the matter that I have called to resolve.
I did take the names of 2 of the operators - Zane - ref#1109 and Vanessa - said she was in the collections team, located in QLD, however would not give her ID or confirm that the call was being monitored.
The above contract is in my ex-partners business name AND I have 3rd party authorization to make enquiries on the contract since it commenced nearly 4 years ago. I am trying to change the next DD date and then being transferred to the collections team who are then denying my rights to access the account when I have always held 3rd party authority.
I am simply not going to continue paying for the remainder of the loan, if this is how you treat your customers! It seems like you have a very low standard in the type of people you employ to represent your brand as a customer I can't even get a hold of a competent person to speak to and I have wasted over 50 minutes of my time today.
I certainly know I will never, ever, ever obtain finance through this company again! The worse service and experience with a financial institution to date and clearly this isn't just my opinion - seems to be the case for most of your customers judging by the very low ratings you have on product review. Take a good look at them as they are reflection of the NON-EXISTENT CRAP SERVICE that people are experiencing!
Horrible customer care – I’ve had many loans with VWFS, this time around I bought my vehicle out, and paid the loan out, 8 days down the road and they still haven’t lifted the encumbrance.

Lying Incompetent Theives – Had a very stressing experience with vwfs costumer services. Had to make 4 phone calls and each person has different numbers of amounts needed to be paid. When asked they couldn't provide any aswers as why. Had 2 rude costumer service agents which seems like they are working from home. Very incompenent.

Rubbish – Robbed me off my initial $1k deposit, then gave me a wrong payout letter, paid it off and then they come back to me saying I still owe $800. On cars they don't have a loan with – I took a loan with Macquarie car loans, paid them out... Did a PSR Check and have this Volkswagen Finance as a security.... They are putting themselves on cars they don't have loans on.... Bunch of crooks.... I have investigated this and Sunco Maroochydore write up the loan and put my vin number on another person's car loan..

I rang them and they told me the car sold in March and they tried to send me a letter. Not a phone call or email like they have done in the past, a hard copy letter that we never received. And to my previous business address , but they had sent me letters many times to my current address and have emailed me many times.
Many times trying to sort this out with them on the phone to have this default removed and I keep getting handballed between 'departments' and conveniently no one is ever there in the other 'department' and I have to keep waiting to get calls back, which I never do.

Not helpful at all!! – After paid out early in full, and waited for more than a week, still has not release me from PPSR. Spoken to the customer service and the PPSR team numerous times, still no action was taken. Really bad service! Just took my money and not releasing me from PPSR! I obtained a payout figure and paid this within 24 hours. I thought all was well when the portal reflected that I owed nothing, which was cemented by receiving a letter stating my credit contract is finalised. However how wrong I was.
48 hours after receiving the above letter my car was repossessed!! I had to fight hard to get the car returned on the same evening, and of course this all happens after hours when you can not get a hold of anyone to dispute it!
The repossession company blamed VW stuffing up and not communicating to them that the car was no longer a security interest. Hard to know who to believe really.
I have emailed several different departments within VWFS as well being on hold to speak to someone to understand how such a momental mistake could happen. No surprises here but no one seems to want to take responsibility or apologise.
Strongly advise against using this financial service. This entire experience has ruined Volkswagen forever for me.

The most devaluing refinancing experience I have ever had. I guess they don't want your business – Disrespectful and rude to customers, give conflicting information all the way through the process including changes to the interest rate they will apply, three different payout loan balance figures given, none of which matched up with the final invoice. Never use VWFS. Too hard. I paid the loan out in the end.
Should be a class action against them – Just like many others, I have continued to be debited for monthly repayments long after the loan was paid in full. No one gets back to you, customer support email take a week to get back to you and is never helpful. Wish I read the reviews… – Started terribly at the dealership. The most unprofessional finance group. They have made countless errors, and after months of having the car i’m still dealing with mistakes they’ve made. I will never finance through VWFS again. And I definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone else use them. If you’re looking, also be sure to read the google reviews. I have learnt the hard way.
Absolute Criminals – Dont deal with these criminals. Firstly they like to finance you into a $130000 vehicle, then after 3 years make it so hard to pay it out its near impossible. Then they bag every other dealer telling me that they are black flagged against them as a supplier. VW finance is just a bunch of liars.
