avoid! two stars for the online assessment, that let us actually refresh. The rest was out of place. The 3 days on site were a waist, zero refreshment, but assessment of your knowledge. I did a 3 day EEHA “refresher”, and so much was out of place, that one might think, if they want to fail you to produce more cash flow. A “refresher” should -> refresh, yet you will find yourself in a re-certification situation from day 1 on, and the weeks to come. And not alone that, the difficulty of that exam condition depends on your cert you come with and the job you work at, to a degree that assessment entries get manipulated (moved into wrong fields) or the assessment “attempt counter” set from 2 to 3 without reason. I kept track, screen shots forwarded and complained.
1. day trainer rushes through workbook. Don’t mark anything, as you r told, you wont need it for the assessment. 2. day praxis exam in cubicle, use of dossier 3. interview with trainer about topics of assessment part (a) So after the daily sessions you are advised to work already on that online assessment, part a and b, some 160 questions, 3 attempts max. You will search a lot in that workbook to find answers, very time consuming.
They offer a 7 day cert4 EEHA course and you will be in the same exam conditions as their students, but with no time to prepare.
You get told “refresher is for those, who do this every day, if you don’t pass, you got to come back for the full course”.
So yes Volt Edge guys, refresh if you offer a refresher, but don’t assess and judge those who are smart and experienced enough, just a bit rusty. And take the mirror and magnifying glass out of the cubicle, when you hide a box with brand new readable glands in the corner, which could be considered misleading, or trap. Btw no Cert4 technician maintains a dossier. You teach in your workbook, it is the job of senior HA or supervisor, to interpret work order sheets, yet in that test you combine both tasks.
