My V60 is a Lemon
I’m very disappointed in the service of my local dealership which changed ownership a number of times over the years and my Volvo V60 Wagon which I purchased from them in 2014. It has a full service history. Since the changes of dealer ownership I have had a few issues with the car so I finally took the my car to an independent mechanic to get it evaluated and was advise that the transmission needs to be replaced. The cost for this is estimated at $6,500 + however The Brighton Volvo dealership looked at the car and advised that the transmission...just needed fluid which they topped up; however, that was not the solution. The car doors don’t lock anymore either. The car has run approx. 100.000km which should not be a problem for a Volvo - a brand which stands for reliability, quality and longevity. I would not buy a Volvo again as my experience with my V60 has not been a good one.
Purchased at Volvo Brighton for $60,000.

We love our V60!
We're very pleased with our Volvo V60. The performance is great, it looks fabulous, and is very comfortable. It took us a few weeks to fully understand the entertainment system as there was no handbook for it, you have to download it online – possibly all manufacturers do this now? The only thing we miss from our previous Volvo is the keyless entry and go, we will make sure we get that next time. Also, the Nav system isn’t always installed even though there is a button for it on the entertainment system. It cost us several hundred dollars to...get it activated so would suggest that any prospective buyers check whether it is activated before they buy. Also, check the spare wheel: a standard size spare wheel will fit under the rear cargo tray. At our request, our selling dealer took out an unnecessary storage section and the spare sits in there fine.
V60 Wagon - Love it!
Have a V60 D5 AWD and it is seriously great. We bought this after getting out of a Lexus (which was pretty good as well) and are so happy with our decision. The car looks great, is powerful and predictable and has performed perfectly since new. Have had it serviced by Annlyn Motors in Penrith, who have been fantastic. They pick up and drop off the car for us and always bring it back looking better than when it left. Cannot speak highly enough of them.
Looks great, powerful, great safety features, stable on the road, spacious, supremely comforta...
