Good in the beginning – Was a great freezer in the beginning but now it barely lasts a month before top drawer is stuck with ice and water dripping down the drawers.

Fantastic! – What a fantastic freezer! Purchased this about 7 months ago to replace my old 120 litre freezer and am so glad I did. I was a little concerned about it being a manual defrost as I hate defrosting freezers, but it was so much more energy efficient than the auto defrost [5 stars] and my power bill has definitely dropped! I have had no ice build up… Read more

at all, even when my boys left it open, it built up a little but it just disappeared once we closed it! I think people who say it frosts up quickly are either stacking it wrong, have the temperature set too cold or are not closing the door properly. The drawers are great, you can put so much in them, and unlike shelves, nothing slips out. There is never any ice build up on the food either, and it freezes items really quick. The door seal is really tight which is fantastic, and there is no large motor for auto defrost taking up all the space in the freezer so you can fit so much more in. Don't even consider a chest freezer, this is so much better, you can clearly see everything and you won't break your back! My friend also has this freezer and has never had to defrost it in over 2 years. It is really slim as well and will fit into smaller areas. I have it full all the time and have never had to adjust the temperature, it stays on mid. I love this freezer and would highly recommend it to everyone. Well done Westinghouse!! Slimline, energy efficient, great capacity, see through storage bins, super quiet You have to make sure the bins are fully closed as the door won't seal properly, more of a problem if you have kids!!

Excellent – We brought this freezer about 2 years ago so we could buy items in bulk and store them.We were going to get a chest freezer as they were cheaper but then we saw this one. It was a good price for an up right freezer, loved the idea of the clear storage bins to see what was in them and it also has easy access to what you want. We also like the idea… Read more

Excellent – A great freezer, we have the piece of mind knowing that its a lot more energy efficient than other freezers. We bought it from the good guys at Fountain Gate and they were happy to beat an internet quote and thow in free delivery. Highly recommend this, especially when you have children and want to sort little fiddly pre frozen meals that could… Read more

tip over in a standard freezer and get mixed up with other foods. We purchased this for about $500 nearly 2 years ago and it sits nicely next or our refrigerator. I liked the 5 star rating especially since it is going to be using power constantly. Tall and slim doesnt take a lot of room, easy to find everything with clear bins and I can keep foods organised better. Never seem to run out of room for anything Seems to frost up pretty quickly but this doesnt take long to do its just that you need to empty it completely to do so. Very easy to keep clean no nooks and crannies for bread crumbs to fall into like a standard freezer, you just rinse the bins.

Terrible – We purchase the Westinghouse FR181T 3 years ago after 6 month we became concerned about the temperature so we started using a fridge freezer thermometer and noticed The freezer only maintained -3 to -12 decrease and this was with the temp setting on full. We contacted Westinghouse and after a great deal of fighting they replaced the freezer. Now 2… Read more

½ years on the replacement is doing the same thing the freezer is place with at least 200mm all the way round for airflow and we defrost it every 3 month which dose improve the cooling but the best we can get out of this freezer is -12 decrease only after defrosting and this only last for a few day then the temperature increases to average about -9 . The Australian refrigeration standard requires freezers to maintain only -15°C but other standards including ISO use -18°C.We are now looking for a new freezer to replace this on we will not be buy a Westinghouse.
