Confusing, irritating process. Useless helpline – Called to report a fraudulent transaction that had already been verified fraudulent with the merchant. Made main & supplementary card holders jump through hoops with weird security verification procedures. Operator just did not listen to our situation or answers then advised us to report “Card lost or stolen” via app but select the “no fraudulent… Read more

/ disputed card transactions”. Customer service worse than overseas call centres. Kept saying she would put us through to Fraud Dept but didn’t and went on to nag us not following proper procedures and to again use the app to report lost or stolen card, when our card was not lost or stolen.

Call was ended abruptly by ?operator.

App itself has ridiculous questions not applicable to reporting a fraudulent transaction.

Credit card statement itself is confusing where supplementary card holder’s name is on statement, rather than main card holder.

Dont bother – We have our card for years. Always paid on time use it very little. It has been in a credit balance of $12 for the last year. We missed a payment of $20 after being overseas with a balance of $600($22,000 limit). Received a rude phone call asking when min payment is going to be paid. Did not introduce herself said she was from "the bank" what… Read more

customer service ,none what so ever. Threatened to put a bad credit mark against us. With that refused to put my husband onto her superior. He was also distepecful and did not listen. With that we paid our total card balance as payment was never an issue and cancelled and cut up our cards. As business owners ourselves we are both appalled at the approach of westpac.

Looking for better deal – I got this card through Virgin Money, that time was the best in Creditcard land, no annual fee, 55 days interest free, excellent customer service, they send you on regular basis some promo like interest rate down for 6 mos or so. When I ask Wespac for the same, I was told Ignite has already very low interest rate on purchases. Well, I should… Read more

research, look and compare for better delals..Why not tie it to airplane ticket as a reward..More rewards are welcome like other credit card providers do..

No annual fee - ever! – NO bank offers no annual fee cards unless you already have a substantial debt with them! Who cares what the interest rate is, pay it out on time and you have free credit at the banks expense. Never gunna give up my free card - heh heh : )

Ignite master card – People should check their statements ...westpac has been caught out quite sneaky, increasing the rate every other month. From 30th july 2014 it had increased the interest rate by 1 % ? this is whilst the cash rate and home loan rates having been in the decline. All customers should complain to the Banking Ombudsmen of this sneaky activity of the Westpac Bank... i have sent a complaint to the Westpac CEO ..Gail Kelly.

Still very good, but – I was with this credit card since Virgin introduced it, then Westpac took over. It's good because of 55 interest free days, no annual fee ever, and customer service is a little bit above average. If it can introduce some additional perks like two free airline lounge access per year, this would even make Ignite greater! this card will be better if… Read more ·  1

it is hooked up with airlines that will allow customer to earn points (e.g. frequent flyer) for every dollar spent.

Good – This is generally a good product. The reasons I am happy is because there is no annual fee, the customer service is very good, and I can regularly log on to the web site to keep track of my purchases. I will definitely be keeping this card, and would recommend this product to anyone. Love that there are no annual fees, ever, on this card. Very… Read more

good customer service whenever I have phoned. Wasn't impressed when they wouldn't give me an increase on my limit, despite the fact they sent me a letter three months earlier, when I didn't need it.

Good – This credit card was originally the Virgin Credit Card but Westpac have taken over now. Aside from a change in name, change in credit card design, and having to now to go the Westpac Bank homepage to log on to my account online, nothing with the card has changed. We still receive Virgin mates rates deals in the mail but I would prefer a rewards… Read more

programme since I use my card so much. I have always paid my balances on time (except for those big splurges during holidays) and have had no problems with being charged late fees etc. The interest rate is very low so if you can't afford it, don't use a credit card and don't overspend your budget. The website is very easy to access and maneuvre. I have spoken to staff over the phone to let them know when I go overseas on holidays and they have been efficient and friendly in helping me. Overall, I am very happy with this credit card and would recommend it. No annual fee - ever. Very low interest rate of 12.99%. 55 days interest free period on purchases. Very easy to check balance online. No rewards programme.

Excellent – This is a replacement for Virgin Money credit card, after acquisition by Westpac. It is an OK product, serves its purpose. Wish it had reward programme though. The customer service is pretty good and fast turnaround time. No annual fee, good customer service and response time Continuely entice you to extend credit limit, no reward programme

Good – This card definitely suits anyone who is either on a limited budget, or who chooses not to use their credit card for every purchase they make. With 55 days interest free and no annual fees it is a low maintanence card that allows ample time for consumers to make their repayments without incurring extra fees. As a free card it does not offer a… Read more

rewards scheme for purchases, but if you are using this card then like me you probably don't make that many purchases anyway.

I have never had any issues with customer service or card malfunctions, and have never had to chase the bank up for false transactions or card denials. No annual fees, adequate credit limit, 55 days interest free No rewards schemes

Bad – I wouldn't recommend this credit card to anybody however; I wouldn't recommend a credit card to anybody. Unfortunately I was one of the unlucky few that signed up with Virgin MasterCard (low interest rates, savings etc) and REALLY did enjoy my card back then. UNTIL Westpac took over and for myself interest increased along with a phone call to… Read more

remember to pay the bill. Back in the day a lovely cute letter was sent out and you would factor the amount into your bills asap. However, just last month I got a lovely phone call from some 18 year old boy who obviously thought he was the big man with his new job stating how much I owed $99.. yes, $99! He then in the phone call asked me again "so, how much will you be paying on Wednesday?". I said “$99 on Wednesday”. Already feeling small he went onto remind me about the fees I would incur if I didn’t pay my debt then to follow on AGAIN with “so again, when you next be paying the outstanding amount”. Oh my god… I gained an attitude and stated “Wednesday! …I will pay $99!!!” If I have one really big criticism it is obviously with companies hiring young employees with no life experience or communication skills. My other minor criticism would be with Westpac having no savings or rewards offered to their cards customers. Nothing really great about THIS credit card – stay away. Limits are available. No rewards program. Hound you when you do well to extend limit. Hound you when haven't paid the monthly bill for the first time.

Still Hold it! – I inherited this card from virgin money when they sold their operation to westpac. Since then still have it don't use it much, but keeping it because it is no longer available & is also without annual fee ever as per the initial contract with Virgin. Though I must add that the card is no longer available, if you have one keeping it is no harm,… Read more

& I believe the call centre for ignite is different than wespac so still the services you will receive be above average. No Annual Fee ever. It is from Westpac now.

Good – This credit card replaced the Virgin Credit cards when Westpac took over Virgin credit. I like to have a credit card to use for emergencies and this one is perfect for that purpose. It does not carry any annual fee charges and you have 55 days interest free. I've never had problems using this card and it offers generous credit limits. I'm lucky i… Read more

haven't needed to contact their call centre regarding this. For a low fuss, emergency credit card i recommend this card. Low interest rate, 55 days interest free, no annual fee No rewards program. Now charges interest on interest
