Wild Turkey Rare & Cola

So many bad mornings following great nights – I can’t state how great this drink is. I’m usually a beer drinker, nowadays when I do it’s only a few at most (6-10). However I find that my hangover starts with the following question to my lovely wife. “My darling, my one and only, my baby, my muse. Are you able to grab a 10 pack of rare in your travels today?” There is something about this that makes it worth the premium price tag. It reminds me of the old turkey in the days before the alco pop tax, that has caused the massive dilution today’s youth now enjoy. I remember coming home from work, sinking 8 cans of regular turkey and being content in my inebriation. For the record they were 2.2 standard drinks per can, not the 1.4 of today. Unfortunately today’s turkey is more and more like a regular cola drink than an alcoholic beverage, it just tastes like cola and you end up super bloated and gassy before you can catch a buzz. If you want some nostalgia, or something more palatable, this is your poison of choice. Smooth, flavourful, potent and super easy to drink. In my opinion it is worth every cent.

Contaminated wild turkey rare breed can – Purchased a 10 pack of rare breed and cola cans, second can in something hits my mouth out of the can. I go to the kitchen and drain about a quarter of a cup into the sink and then rattle out a cigarette butt, the yellow butt wrapping paper and the rest of the cigarette still intact complete with the burnt end about 5mm long. All had been in the sealed can for awhile as the faux cork filter wrap had lost a lot of colour, I poured the next one into a glass. Good laugh for someone on the production line, I’m still gagging over it.

Wild Turkey Rare Bourbon & Cola - Best bourbon pre-mix, unfortunately you pay for it! – 3 stars is probably the most difficult things to write a review. It is usually 'average'. Well Wild Turkey Rare Bourbon & Cola is not your average bourbon premix. It is literally the best bourbon & cola premix you can buy, hence 5 stars. But the 'price' is 3 stars at best :-( It is smooth, Has a easy flowing taste, Not too sweet, not too dry,

8% Alcohol (2.4 Standard drinks!),

Comes in 340ml bottles or 375ml cans,

Clearly states what proportion of the good stuff it has (25% Wild Turkey Rare Breed, 75% Wild Turkey Straight)

So can you go wrong buying it? In short no. The only problem is it is a super premium product in a not-so-premium category of alcoholic drinks. And at $120 for a box of 24 cans (cheapest price I could find) at Three Swallows Liquor Stax Bankstown, it is just too dear. That is the price of two whole boxes of the 3 star Nelson County Bourbon & Cola! However good on you Wild Turkey for making a premium premix that actually tastes smooth and delicious. Unfortunately at this price, I can't share it with the mates! Best bourbon and cola premix available. It is rather a pricey drink. Not ludocriously, but enough to disuade you from sharing it.
