XGIMI Horizon FHD projector fan flaw – Since I purchased the projector I have not used it very often, the fan issue came up just after 1 year warranty has passed, every time I turn on the projector, it will throw out a message saying "fan is abnormal" and then turn itself off in 15 seconds. I contacted Xgimi support and was advised to do a firmware update which did not help (BTW the firmware update reset my setup and wiped out all the installed apps, so I had to re-install these apps). I tried to long press the power button several times in order to get to the firmware update screen which would turn on the projector with the fan on high speed (without inserting a USB drive), this has temporarily fixed the issue and I can turn on the projector without the "fan is abnormal" message for a while (sometimes for several days, sometimes just for serveral hours), so I have been using this trick once I get the "fan is abnormal" message and it has been working for another year, until one day the fan did not turn on at all, so the trick would not work anymore and I will need to get the projector repaired.
