XU1 XGT-018 Questions & Answers
XU1where can I buy a battery charger for an XU1 drill XIDK-180
After reading the comments I am now unsure whether a new battery is available for the XGT-018 A staff member advised the following part number 340802601020 but when googling this seems to be the UX1 Blue which is listed as not backwards compatible. Did anyone actually manage to buy a new battery?
will not start battery has 3 green lights when in the charger
Found my Xgt-18 great for use on small block, but the main wheel where the blades clip on has worn out. Anyone got any ideas where to get parts?? Or want to sell parts?
Ask at Bunnings.
Where can I get a spare battery and (if need be) a charger. The machine is great but the battery casing shattered
You should try Bunnings. I bought my machine there and I think they would know whether you can get a new battery and charger.
They told me I can't which gave rise to my question of the broader user community. But thanks anyway H
I got a same photo the trimmer which is XU1 - XGT-18 and the battery was full green charged machine didnt start tried to open and see if the switch is jammed but even thevswitch looks fine any help greatly appreaciated
I have XU1XGT-018 Grass Trimmer, green lights on charger are still green after 12hours charging. Machine does not operate. Do I need to buy new battery and where from?
You probably need a new battery. Try Bunnings, but I don't think you can get a battery for it.
Hi, I have an XU1 cordless hedge trimmer model XHT-018. Wondering if there is any way of sharpening the blades or if they can be replaced?
How do I get a replacement battery & maybe charger? Where willI I get it from? Is another supplier like Ozito fit the whipper snipper?
I would try Bunnings. That is where I bought my whipper snipper. They will be able to tell you. Hope this helps.
I bought in Bunnings xu1 hedge trimmer but I lost charger. I went to Bunnings and they aren't selling this xu1 any more???? Where can I get whipper snipper with the battery and charger from xu1? The hedge trimmer was used 2 times and it is disappointing that now i have to buy a new one just because there are no charges to buy in Bunnings. Any idea where can I get it? Thank you
I have exactly the same problem. Unfortunately their new "Blue" range rechargable Li-ion batteries are NOT compatible. I've had the XU1 hedge trimmer for a while but it wasn't THAT long ago when I bought it. I though consumer law requires that the seller have to provide spare parts for a reasonable amount of time which in this case should mean a few years. From what I see only Bunnings sells XU1 and they provide minimal information on their website. Since they discontinued selling the cordless XU1 hedge trimmer, I can't find ANY information. We had to go to the store to find out. :-( Just as a side comment, my experience is that it's best to go to the most recently opened Bunnings store in your area for best chance of finding what you want, even if it means extra travel. Restocking is based purely on pot luck. In case of power tools, they order a large batch, sell it and next time they may get a different brand and definitely a new, incompatible model. This is not just about saving money by chasing the best deal but more about forcing people to buy new power tools even when those tools are still quite servicable. Instead of buying a $10-20 part, you spend $100-300 in some cases, for a new tool. Even when they grudgingly make spare parts available, they make it impractical (e.g. wait months) or too expensive to get it. I've had that experience a few times. That's consumer society for you!
I bought a corded XU1 whipper snipper and the blade wore out in one gardening session. I was wondering if I can fit a cord cartridge to it?
Hi Janine, no you need to buy extra blades to attach. They are pretty cheap. If you put the guard down your blades will last longer :)
My guard is down , I just have a lot of stuff to get through. Where can I buy replacement blades?
Hi Janine, you can buy them at Bunnings or Mitre 10, A packet full is quite cheap and the blade is very easy to fit.
Please where can I get spare batteries as a standby?
I think you would need to ask at Bunnings, that is where mine was purchased from. However, my battery died and this line trimmer has been discontinued, and no battery was available. So I purchased a new Ozito which is excellent.
Thank you. I placed a special order today at Bunnings, but it won’t be in until end of March! Not very happy about that!
what to do when does not work with fully charged battery?
Take it back to place of purchase
Where to buy this product?
Bunnings, buy a packet of the blades while your there!
