Yamaha TSX-70 / TSX-80

Thumbs down – You need to know what's annoying about a product just as much as what's good about a product. The one annoying thing about this product is, you have to activate the alarm every day. Several times I have woke up late because the Alarm was not reactivated the morning before. This Clock Radio has cost more than $500 in lost income. I have asked Yamaha for an Firmware update but they are not interested.

Really suprised – Given the price of this unit I was not expecting much of a quality sound. When I loaded my Iphone into the jack it was super responsive and loaded quickly. The sound quality was good. A medium size room at max volume provided a clean sound. Bass as expected was not strong however did not vibrate like some other docks I have tried. Would recommend this device.
Great little box` – While this baby set me back $400, and was somewhat of an impulse buy, it's turned out to be quite a little rocket. It works perfectly with my iPhone 4, and functions well as a dock. At first I was a little confused as to why a clock-radio would need a remote, however since discovering the great sound quality of this little beast, I've got rid of the other speakers and such in my room mainly used for playing music, and the AUX port on the Yamaha TSX-80 allows me to play music from my laptop. I've plugged an Apple airport express into the AUX port so that I can stream music wirelessly from my laptop, and this spits out some pretty good tunes for a box this size. The only fallback that I can think of is that it isn't very good and tends to vibrate quite a lot when you play music with a lot of bass, however I'd expect that considering the size. sound quality, ease of use, simplicity bass sounds

OK, good review, I'm thinking of buying this machine and that supports my decision. (Just a note "fallback" is not the word you're after here. Perhaps "letdown"?
