I have tried for weeks to access an old email account which has very important information I need to renew an old foreign ID and they want me to pay a subscription. I think its time for a class action lawsuit. I am contacting consumer affairs and class action experts Gordon legal to look into these malpractices. I will see if I can get Today Tonight to cover this YAHOO SCAM.

I’ve been using this email platform for years. Now all of a sudden it’s wants a five step verification process that DOESNT EVEN WORK! Absolutely pathetic and a testament to how terrible Yahoo has become

No Help – Changed password on yahoo and can no longer access emails. Trying to fix this using their 'support', is useless as it keeps going round in circles. Can't get customer support unless you pay - good luck trying to get that. A joke for service and bigger joke for email app.

Impossible to get into my mailbox – Yahoo mail request you to enter a code that they send to a phone number you entered in your profile to verify that it is really you trying to log in. Only, they don't send any code and you are stuck in limbo, with no way to get to your mailbox. Is this a commercial idea to get people to sign in to their premium help? Either that or total incompetence from their technical department.

Bass Ackwards – Email threads are a mess and are backwards and never in understandable order. Even the website name is backwards lol. I better ramble on a bit because ProductReview thinks more is more even when it's literally not.

Don't give up just yet! POP forwarding with Yahoo! Mail – For long I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with Yahoo! Mail. I currently use Microsoft Outlook to view my email via Pop forwarding. The issue: Even with all the correct POP forward settings entered correctly, Microsoft Outlook would always have the password confirmation box pop up / or an error where outlook was not able to log… Read more

onto the Yahool Mail server.

Now...if you have this issue, look no further as there is literally no solution to this via Yahoo or Microsoft websites.

The solution is simple...just follow these steps:

1. Log onto your yahoo mail account via your preferred web browser.

2. Click on "mail"

3. Place to mouse over your user name then select "Account Info"

4. Select "Account Security" (note you may be required to re - login)

5. Scroll down to "Manage App Passwords"

6. Select your app (In my case it was Microsoft Outlook Desktop)

7. Select generate password

8. Update the password in Microsoft Outlook and you should be good to go.

No more password prompts or errors.

After this you may learn to love your Yahoo! Mail once again.
