Yamaha PSR-SX900
MPN: PSR-SX9001 review
A really nice keyboard arranger – I highly recommend the Yamaha PSR-SX900 keyboard arranger. The sounds are realistic and natural. Also of most importance is the touch of the non weighted keys is very nice and has a slight “click” feel. This creates a better ability to play the keys as they are non weighted. Some other keyboards for the same price have very spongy zero feel type keys, which I find difficult to play. Also the keys can be pressed almost up to the extreme end (near fallboard area I mean) and they don’t get harder to press. The styles are extraordinary! There’s so many to choose from. It’s quite a complex instrument to get around, the learning curve is rather steep, however, everything is logical and not too difficult as all. It’s plenty loud enough, with a good tone quality, however, I would prefer more power and sonority. I compared it with a Korg pa1000 which is more powerful, but a MUCH steeper learning curve. I have both and will keep both! I am still learning my way around the keyboard. I must say the sounds of the cello, violins and clarinets etc are very realistic. You will not be disappointed with the SX900!
