Zempire Hangdome

Great as long as it works – Excellent product as long as it worked. Then (as most reviews said) it just stopped working. I bought two, one still works the other dead. Just after one year (so no warranty) and not much use. Such a shame because looks like a well designed and executed product but the battery is letting it down. Show details

Dome light battery quality issues – I have two Zempire dome lights. One works perfectly fine, the other won’t hold charge. Overall design is second to none but the battery situation is common and really lets the product reliability down. I sent an email to Zempire Support months ago and wasn’t even given the courtesy of a reply. A replaceable battery would solve the problem.

Terrible – Same problem as other. Not turning on after only being used twice over 12 months.

Zempire Hanging Dome – Same problem others have, working a few times then not holding the charge. Disappointed.

Zempire soft silicon lantern – Great light for the first few times used.. First one stopped working.. would hold charge. BCF did replace it.. good customer service. The 2nd one has now also failed with the same issue. Both were only a couple of weeks old... Is this a problem more people are having?

I worked for 5 + 1 day!! – I bought this just before my holiday between Christmas and New Year and it worked perfectly for this 5 day camping trip. source the lights just flash for a while then stop!!! I will definitely be contacting the shop I bought it from when I return home. It’s certainly disappointing when you think you are buying a quality product!?!?

Battery fails and no fix – After 6 months it stopped working unless plugged into a power even though it is fully charged. It wasn’t used much and is in perfect condition. Shame Show details

Good design but can be unreliable – they work well and are a great design. I have 2. one doesn't work unless plugged into a power bank even though it is fully charged so that is disappointing. If they improved QA on these they would do better. Show details

Interesting Lantern – Works well, but as I've seen with other lanterns of this type the hanger hook/cable is the charging cable too. However you need a separate USB cable to connect to plug into a port. It comes with it, but looks easy to lose. Show details

Bought 2 - 1 no longer holds charge – The ostensible design is great. used it. I have had the lights for a year or so, about 6 months in one of them stopped charging. It’ll run plugged in to a power bank. The LEDs at the top light as though to charge but no. Maybe some haphazard manufacturing because the design is great. Shame.

Avoid – I received a hangdome for a gift a little over 12 months ago. It has had very little use because of covid. When I attempted to plug it in to give it a charge I was very shocked to have the connector/hook detach from the cable. connector, only the small amount of friction of the connector holding the cable. Without adequate cable support, only the soldered connection supports the weight of the light. I am now not surprised it is broken. The product operated well and has the appearance of quality, it is such a shame the light has this flaw. If you do not hang the light by the cable as is intended, it may last a little longer. Avoid.
