Zenit Windows

Deceiving and fraudulent – Do not deal with Zenit or its Director - we were told lies all the way. Invoiced us when the windows and doors arrived in Australia - complete fraud - they didn't exist. It took us two years and a great deal of stress to eventually get our windows and doors. This meant we couldn't weather tight our house, and so the frames and reveals were weather damaged. The delivered product has been poor - windows leak air, windows and doors move out of adjustment, and one of the multi-point latch fittings wasn't fitted at all. Would provide a negative star rating if could.
Unprofessional and Untrustworthy – If I could give zero stars, I would. Quick to take our money followed by countless empty promises and lies from Serge. Continuously changed install dates, especially at the last minute or just didn't turn up. I've no idea what their finished product actually looks like as we never got ours. We eventually had to cancel as the timelines were just getting pushed further and further back. After many months, we finally got our deposit back. If you have any sense, do not deal with this company.
Fraud / Scam Alert – Update on 12 May 2020 Certified VCAT order posted, hopefully will show correctly. VCAT stated to us that Zenit/[name removed] should refund within 7 working days and if not, advised to proceed to Courts but this is not stated so in the order. [name removed] pick on this legality when notified of Magistrate Court filing. His response dated 08/04/2020 is also attached, hope all pix will show correctly. Note: I have concealed off my wife's name (first applicant) and my email address. If you want to contact, please mail through Product Review
Second Post This is my second review for Zenit Windows. As said in earlier review we took them to VCAT on 27th February 2020. An order was served to [name removed], the director of Zenit Windows to pay the remaining balance of our deposit with the costs incurred. He has not paid yet the owing, perhaps he is well experienced in this sort of game. In our view, [name removed] and Zenit Windows are a complete fraud. I am letting you know so you do not have to go through this ordeal. I am trying to prevent this from happening to anyone else. I am intending to post a picture of the VCAT order so that all can see it is real. Unfortunately, it is not possible to give zero stars to these people!
Original Post Be aware! Do not go anywhere near these guys, cannot rely on at all. Perhaps we are bit lucky not to get bogged down with these guys and pay the majority of the costs as we managed to negotiate to pay after delivery. An initial 30% deposit paid and we confirmed 27 windows/doors for a new build requesting frames only first. Zenit said that they normally have windows made overseas however, we were told our frames and windows will be manufactured in their workshop at Moorabbin. Due to ever shifting days to deliver and after countless frustrated emails and phone calls, my wife decided to meet in person and witness the workshop. Despite the comments of in hand profiles, steel and etc, she found nothing to resemble our frames or frame making. Their lies have caused our project substantial delays and will not finish before Christmas causing us thousands of dollars loses in domino effects. They promised to refund in full promptly. Similar to windows, excuses and ignoring started until a comment was posted on their face book page. It has taken 6 weeks to get 2/3 of the deposit. We are now suing them at VCAT to get the rest of the money back with damages as there is no further response.
Word of advice for having uPVC; Read as much as reviews you can, there seems good manufacturers around both for work/reliability and cost (post Zenit experience) We went for tilt & turn which cannot open out, Zenit said they can do, our major mistake to get hooked Visit and check many of the workshops and machinery, you will be able to gauge the functionality Negotiate to have a smaller starting deposit and payments after installations, try have bulk payments split
Beautiful Windows – Our new uPVC double glazed windows look amazing! They can be cleaned easily both inside and out from inside our second floor. Having two options for opening allows us to control air flow better. A couple of minor issues with the windows after installation meant we needed to contact them to have someone come out. This wasn't a problem and they were fixed very promptly. We have used another company previously for windows and been very unhappy with their service - we would definitely recommend Zenit Windows.

Update 10/5/21 The deposit was returned many months back and our professional and business ceased. The situation at the time was unhealthy between both parties, unfortunately, termination of the contract was the only option.
