Sensitivity after the procedure is horrible, I can't believe this product even exists. Sure, my teeth appear a couple of shades whiter. But I'm also (literally) crying because of the tooth sensitivity it's caused; never again. Stick to an at home whitening kit and avoid the agony (and $$$ !!!) Show details
Not worth the money or hassle – It took so long and couldn't see much of a difference. The dentist didn't have a contraption that fit with my mouth, and so then had to do it all by hand - bottom then top. It also burnt my lip. In the end, I think the dentist gave up on it all and so only did one 15 min lot (overall more than 2 hrs in the practice though). I could see very little difference. Not worth the money at all. Wouldn't recommend. Show details
I wouldn’t do this again – I travelled 3 1/2 hrs to have this done in Melbourne , all I can say with the results is , very disappointing. Maybe a shade lighter, I did not have sensitivity and had 4 rounds of 15 minutes. Definitely will not be doing this again . Next time I’ll try one over the counter if I ever want to try a whitening again. Very expensive procedure with poor outcome. Show details

DO NOT DO THIS!!! – I had this procedure done today. My teeth are not that much whiter, it was very expensive and the pain is unbearable. I've had a tooth extracted and the pain wasn't as bad a this. Little results for the amount of pain and money invested. Not worth it! Show details
good results but painful – I had this treatment several months ago. I asked about the side effects and was told that you will get a tingling feeling for a few days after. I guess every person's experience is different. This is mine. The whitening result is very good. My understanding of how it works is the hydrogen peroxide reacts with UV light to oxidise, thereby… Read more
leaching out all the "gunk" in the pores (tubules) of your teeth and restoring them to its original white colour. I am happy with the removal of the yellow stains on my teeth.
The treatment itself consists of 3-4 sessions of 15 min each. My teeth started to feel painful during the 4th treatment which I had to terminate. You have 2 mouth guard trays made (upper/lower) for in-home treatment, which I have not used. I was given several small tubes of sensodyne and told to use painkillers if I experience any pain. During the 4th treatment, I noticed that inhaling air through my mouth - breathing - was very painful. For the first few days, particularly at night, I had these "zingers". Apparently, they are residual hydrogen peroxide leaching into your nerve root. They are spontaneous, very painful and the paracetamol (I cannot take anti-imflammatories due to any underlying kidney problem) didn't quite dull the pain. The best way I can describe the pain is someone tapping a centre punch in the middle of your tooth. I ended up requiring a sedative in order to get to sleep.
For the next few weeks, I didn't experience these "zingers" anymore, although my teeth have become quite sensitive to cold water and occasionally inhaling cold air. I have been using sensitive toothpaste (Colgate and Sensodyne) since. I have never required the use of such toothpaste before. The toothpaste works by filling up these pores in your teeth with potassium nitrate, which have a direct connection to your tooth nerve. Bit like putty for nail holes! There are some toothpastes (OralB) claiming to desensitise your teeth but which do not contain this chemical, so I am not sure how effective they would be.
The last few days (about month or so after the treatment) I began to experience these "zingers" again. These episodes would last 20-30min with my teeth "pinging" every minute or so and for me, were quite excruciating. I've since visited the dentist. Upon x-ray there are no abnormalities (nerve damage, cracks) although I was told that a "fissure" may be causing the problem. I'm not sure how they detect these or permanently treat them. I was sent home with "Tooth Mousse" and a high concentration of calcium/fluoride to fill in this possible fissure.
My complaints are several fold: 1) There was no warning about how painful this treatment would be afterwards. 2) Articles I have read since, indicate that it is useful to use sensitive toothpaste for several weeks prior to treatment. Although I am not sure how effective this advice is, I was not aware of this "tip". 3) Although I am happy with the visual results, I regret the pain and inconvenience this has caused and if given the necessary "warnings" would never have organised this treatment.
As a consequence of this treatment, I now have to be careful with everything I eat and drink, something that has never bothered me before. My recommendation is that if you have mildly sensitive teeth, do not get this treatment, or if you do, specify only 2-3 sessions.
Painful as hell – Spent 2 1/2 hours in chair. I am not normally sensitive but horrible nerve pain through all my teeth from part way in. Now home and on pain killers- never again. Did whiten teeth but nothing is worth this pain Show details

Worked on tetracycline stains but still some grey staining left – I have moderate tetracycline staining and was told up-front that this procedure may not work for me but surprisingly it resulted in a big improvement in the whiteness although there is still an underlying grey staining and the zoom made no headway with the dark band at the top of the teeth. Overall, I am happy with the result. You get 4 x 15… Read more · 1
minute sessions for your $650 and I stopped after the third session as I started to experience some sensitivity. I did not have any pain either during or after the procedure. The dentist did warn me to use a sensitive teeth toothpaste for 2 weeks before and he also said that "older" people generally do not have the teeth whitening pain due to changes in the teeth as you get older but "younger" people can experience a lot of pain from the procedure i.e. zingers. You get a bleaching kit as well so as to maintain the whiteness of the teeth which is used for a few hours every six months. I would recommend that you try zoom in-chair whitening if you have tetracycline staining but keep in mind that the results and responses seem to vary widely between individuals.
Just OK for the price – I had this done at the dentist. To be honest, for $650 I expected much better results for this price. A few shades whiter but not very noticeable. I feel like it was nothing like the images in the marketing. Show details

I'm Smiling ! – I received 4 x 15 minute whitening sessions at the dentist today. I'm extremely pleased with the result and think the Zoom product is effective and great value for money. I'll receive the home brightening kit as well ! ... That wasn't expected and simply adds to my very satisfying experience. A great technician helps too ! I did not experience any… Read more · 1
sensitivity having brushed with a 'sensitive' toothpaste for 3 weeks before the treatment. For me ... a stunning finish !
Woohoo!!! – I haven't smiled for over twenty years and now I can't stop smiling and looking at my teeth! I did it at the dentist, it's done in one day in 4 x 15 minute sessions. First three were pleasant and I felt nothing but was unable to do the fourth as my teeth tingled way too much (not nice and quite painful) but only lasts the rest of the day, I… Read more · 2
went to bed and woke up no issues.
Have the trays and gel to use at home also no issues at all.
Results after three sessions are ridiculously good!!!
Using trays now only makes it better.
If you want white teeth do it!
Maybe see your doctor first and get something to put you to sleep as soon as you leave the dentist, that's what I did.
