This mattress is extremely firm and takes a while to get used to, especially for side sleepers. There is no side support so sitting on the edge isn't ideal. On my previous plush mattress (not Origin) which was 10 years old I was waking up feeling stiff and sore. I no longer feel like that however we did need to buy the Origin Contour mattress topper which softened it enough to drastically improve our sleep; without the topper the mattress is just too firm for us. My husband couldn't feel any cooling but I could however using the topper removes any cooling effect. There are straps on the sides of the mattress to assist with moving it however it isn't strong enough and feels like it will rip.
