Good for Trimming, Hopeless for edging – Works reasonably well as a line trimmer for medium suburban yards. The original nylon cord is terrible, but works ok when changed out to 1.6mm cord. Absolutely hopeless for doing edges. You cannot see where it is cutting and if you try to look around the guard you risk losing an eye (or two). If up against a wall the motor drive is too big to allow the cutting line up to the edge. The guide wheel is next to useless. Ryobi should try out their products in the real world before selling to the public.
