The most clumsy pram i ever had – Honestly for the price it’s extremely clumsy pram. Buying bugaboo was big decision, unfortunately needed. I had to replace it with my one baby only Emmaljunga Edge. Bugaboo is compare to that extremely clumsy construction, positioning is great but when i want my kids to sit up straight, they have to be either sitting almost inclined to their… Read more

front or too much laying so if they want to see nicely around their head has to be moving front which from my perspective seems very uncomfortable. Maneuverability is great, but sooo often one turning whell (when on uneven surfaces of course) turn a bit more and block the movement completely again making the ride very uncomfortable for me as well as for my kids. Fitting everywhere, true. However in narrow spaces i have to make sure both my kids put their hand tightly inside the pram so they don’t get hurt. Basket under the pram, my opinion because of the weird inclination it’s super small or things just fall off when for example moving up the pavement. Folding the pram is for me one big ?. Already watched so many videos and instructions how to do one piece fold. Until now still not sure if i do it right or it’s just soo big. I have mercedes E class which has so big trunk, however if i want to put my bugaboo in, it 1. Must be completely empty, 2. I still have to push the trunk door to close and it’s for me a bit of challenge. Can’t imagine how to do it with smaller car (which frankly most on the market are). My personal conclusion, I would NEVER recommend anyone to spend over 1500€ for new pram, because the quality is simply so poor. If you care more about look, and fitting everywhere, not about durability, then go ahead. Last note, i’m lover of pram walks and doing it on daily basis in any weather condition, i have experience with Teutonia, Emmaljunga and Babyzen, from all brands the bugaboo fabrics are the least durable. Sun discoloration appears very soon after using the pram, therefore shortly after your purchase it looks like 5year old pram, Even though it’s practically new.

Fits through a standard barn door maybe – DO NOT BUY! My wife chose this pram after I believe being misled. It says it fits through a standard door, I'm not sure where they got the idea of a standard door but that's a lie, it doesn't even fit through what I would consider a larger door, absolute largest waste of money ever and since it's put together I can't do anything about this… Read more

I love this pram – At first this wasn't an option due to the price tag so i avoided 'test driving' but the moment I tried the donkey duo I knew this was the pram for me and worth every cent. Amazing! – How amazing is this pram!! It has every feature you could ask for, looks stylish and rolls easy. The kids fit perfectly in it and looks comfortable. I would recommend this pram to everyone and definately think it’s worth the money paid. A lot of people don’t like the price but you get what you pay for  Show reply

its a beast that isn't very user friendly – I purchased the mono November 20 for my expecting second child April 21. Ive been using it for a few weeks and really struggling. The folding leavers are super hard to push in and lift up to fold it down that I can be 5 minutes in the car park trying to get them to move. sit next to the seat for my toddler. With the capsule on and extended to a duo with the seat, the seat doesn't engage on easily. I have to put the seat on first before the capsule and then it is difficult to change the incline of the seat because the capsule is wider then the seat or bassinet. It isn't easy packing the boot. Its lovely to push, but bigger and clunkier then I'm happy with. I'm very disappointed given we spent so much money on pram and capsule for an easy travel system and i'm cursing in the car park trying to get it to work. I live regionally and plan on taking back to store hoping for a refund.

Pram is good but customer service is not – The pram is good if you need a double, very practical and can get plenty of use - wish I had bought it with my first and not just when the second one came along! Love it. Hate it – We upgraded to the donkey when we had our second child. Overall I’d call it the best of a bad bunch of doubles. We didn’t like the in line doubles as none had a configuration that we were happy with for a toddler and newborn so knew we needed side by side. Pros Toddler can get in and out alone Can have baby facing parent toddler facing out Seats… Read more

at the same height Manages rough terrain well Easy handling for a large pram Adjustable harness is simple and no tethered required as children grow just move it up

Cons “Fits through a standard door” except the hoods you have to wiggle and squeeze them because they sit wider than the pram Really really awkward and clumsy for getting into a car, for this reason I avoid taking it out at all costs we only use near home Basket is TERRIBLE and very hard to access I feel like I’m climbing into it to try use it Side shopping basket in single mode is a waste of space would be better if the pram went into a true single mode without a pointless clunky thing on the side Handle is really short, I’m average height but have to have it fully extended so it’s generally too low for my husband to push comfortably Clips to adjust handle height or between single/double mode feel really flimsy It’s nearly impossible to push the button and pull back the lever on both sides at the same time to collapse the frame a pull back without the button would have done fine When reassembling from flat frame doesn’t always click into place and being so big and heavy you end up with it collapsing one way then another and back the first way until it eventually locks either the wheels in place or the handle and one set of wheels and you can finally adjust the bit that isn’t locked in

Overall it’s the pram I love to hate. It’s great having babies side by side and it handles well. But I’m really really glad I didn’t sell my single first and look forward to the day my toddler no longer needs a pram so I can go back to 100% use of my single

A former bugaboo fan warns ‘don’t waste your money’ – I had the Bugaboo Cameleon for my first child and was very happy. I sold it when we had a second and replaced it with the Donkey. Big mistake. Straight away I was surprised by the rickety handling. Things like reclining the seats are much less smooth than with the cam. A few months later I had to take it in to be repaired because of ‘shuddering… Read more

wheels’ which stopped me from being able to push the pram. This was a known problem according to the retailer but not according to Bugaboo HQ. It started working much better. Now, all my tyres are flat and it won’t push. The new version has foam wheels because of this exact problem but bugaboo tells me wheels aren’t covered by the warranty and they say I must pay $225 to get the wheels replaced or ‘take it to a bike shop’. I asked if they would meet me in the middle on the price of the replacement wheels and they refused. So disappointed. I would not recommend this pram to anyone. Worst purchase I have ever made! Quality is absolutely rubbish for the price – I had a bugaboo cam3 with my first born and absolutely loved it so when I was expecting my second child there was with no doubt I was going to purchase the donkey. I had my frame replaced with a 2016 frame when I originally had a 2017, my basket was replaced with a donkey2 basket and now my pram looks all mis matched and like a fake! the stiching is coming undone again and I can see the same little splits in the frame! Not to mention my phone holder which is $50 alone is broken. Please beware just because you are paying more doesn’t mean you are getting the best! I like to keep my things neat and look after my pram but not the quality you would expect on a $2 thousand + product.

Love it – The bugaboo donkey duo is a great pram. As I only have one baby I have used in the mono version and the side cart has been a lifesaver when it comes to shopping and being able to store nappy bag and toys at arms reach. When in duo version it’s great as u can change the seats facing options and the capsule attachments are super handy with a newborn  Show reply

Yes and No – Bugaboo Donkey.. oh my bugaboo donkey.. I had to have this pram, it was sitting in the store all high and mighty.. This was for kid 2! when pushing it through centres etc that people get outta your way!

Love the basket attachment, very great way to hide a bit of a crappy design

Now we had a 3 year old, and then pumped out 3 kids under 2, which I am glad we got the bug because it was not expected.. lol

As a heavily pregnant woman with 2 toddlers, it was HEAVY! So so HEAVY and I had to lift it high! The locking mechanism broke on ours the first week we had it so I have assumed that it how it was meant to be, you try being 8 months pregnant and that thing open as you’re lifting into the back of a Ute and slam you.. heavy!

It is very ‘loose’ framed, I mean mine touches something uneven and it’s like NOPE! Not going up there lift me! Like I said 2 toddlers, baby in the pouch, 6 year old not too strong to help... and squat and lift..

I find as a double it is just trash! Proper trash! The hoods always fall off because the catch in one another and they are this crap design that has 6 pieces instead of clip all together, go..

The seats and design are crap, they’re hard as a rock, itchy and the lever you use to lay them back is flimsy and you really have to give it some to get it to move

Everyone think half asleep baby, shaken baby, awake baby..

Also they reckon it can fit through a standard doorway in double mode.. WRONG! Kids will lose a finger or 2, the hoods will be pulled off, your 2000 dollar pram will be damaged and so will all the door frames you walk through! .

It is bloody expensive, for a single pram great but cheaper better options out there.. for a double, nasty and expensive, seems that’s the way of the world...

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to buy one at all, and after my experience with bugaboo, I wouldn’t recommend any of their products..

I wouldn’t even sell mine second hand, I wouldn’t give it away.

Yes we have had a lot of miles covered in it, however, the only reason I didn’t buy a new one was because I spent $2000 on a pram and I had to live with the regret of my decision!

Don’t do it!!!

Superb pram! But with important things to consider – PROS: First & foremost, it is so darn nice to look at. It is a VERY good-looking pram! It's so reliable & durable. The large wheels are fantastic & allow for smooth walks without having to avoid cracks or bumps on the path. It's easy to steer & I regularly use it as a jogging pram (the wheels can go a little crazy if you jog too fast, so you… Read more ·  1

just have to adjust your speed appropriately).

The side basket is invaluable and when I see prams without one, I think "HOW DO YOU MANAGE WITH JUST THE UNDER BASKET!?" It is appropriately named, 'Donkey' because you can pile a tonne of things on it & go on your merry way!

The mechanics are straightforward & easily adjustable. The seat cover can be just as easily removed and washed.

CONS:

The pram is heavy & takes up an inconvenient amount of space in the boot.

The seat seems a bit small, my 10 month old's head (quite the tall chap) is almost touching the top!

I also wish the seat had a setting between upright and very upright. The upright position is a little too far back for my liking and I feel bub jerking his head forward to get a better view. The very upright position is awkward and looks as if bub might fall right out!

The clasp that allows for extending the handle is too close to bub's feet. He tends to muck around with it by flipping it open with his foot - very annoying.

I bought mine off Gumtree for $600 & knowing its full retail price of $2,000 I can't help but wonder if it is really worth it? If I had paid the full price, firstly, I'd expect it to be absolutely PERFECT without any floors, & secondly, I'd be too worried to leave the house with it for fear of putting a scratch on it! And that is NOT what prams are for.

The beauty of the Bugaboo name is that money can be made off it once you're done, the brand has great resale value as people will will always think it's part of the "Elite Team".

Would I spend more than $600 on a pram? No, because there are plenty of other fantastic prams out there for that price. If I had spent $2,000 I wouldn't be able to afford any extras because all Bugaboo accessories are absurdy expensive (example: cup holder, $50). If you're rolling in it and have the money, go for it, otherwise, don't be dismayed, there are other superb prams out there that simply don't have the label BUGABOO branded on them.

Can't wait to push my babies in this! – I chose the bugaboo donkey because I really needed something that would attach 2 Maxi Cosi Carseats side by side. This Bugaboo is ridiculously easy to steer. Perfect pram for twins – I bought this pram for my little twins and it serviced very well. With bassinets, babies can sleep during travelling and that’s what we want because we spent quite a lot of time going to different places. Perfect! Easy to use- best pram of the 5 we purchased – I wish we purchased it with our first as it's the best pram ever and it has an excellent resale value too! Important note- you can tilt the seat back without lifting the chair- there's a white leaver on the back of the chairs. AWESOME – VERY easy to maneuver- i am SO surprised that its so easy to fold and store away, Yes its big, its just fits in my CX5 Mazda, but its a double stroller. Great pram and I love the look of it – I purchased the bugaboo twin pram. At the start I found it confusing as to how it unfolds/folds and found it quite stiff to begin with however it gets easier. It manoeuvres around smoothly and is an all round great pram which my twins love and enjoy going in. I am happy with the quality although it is a little over priced. Would definitely recommend this pram as it does fit through most doorways still even though it is a side by side pram.

Amazing pram for my twins! – I love this pram. I originally bought a front and back pram but took it back as I was concerned of the twins kicking one another. Be aware of design flaw – From the first day I started using this pram the front wheels would wobble. issue) if you complain. As such, they could not offer me a replacement frame as it would be likely that I would have the same issue with the new one.

I found this really disappointing. I considered Bugaboo to be a quality brand and find it surprising that they continue to sell prams with design flaws. I just hope that other pram owners who have this issue read this review and can at least get it fixed rather than think that it's 'just the way the pram is'.

Otherwise, I like my pram :)

Love it – Easy to move , as a mono it is about the same width as a wheel chair so most places are compliant and can easily move around. The side basket it awesome , great for just dumping stuff into it. Folds down pretty small for how big it is. We also made sure it fit into our car before buying it . but most would be trapped by that.
