Cons: Expensive

Overall: worked fine then all of a sudden "Err" messages. Doesn't work at all. Doesn't fill with water. Tried all the troubleshooting in the manual, nothing fixed it. It's a heap of junk. Why don't appliances get built to last anymore? Very disappointing. No way would i recommend this machine to anyone!!!

Pros: low water usage and very good energy rating

Cons: Front Door will not shut and sensor maybe broken

Overall: I bought this washing machine 6 months ago from second-hand including delivery for $300. This machine is very easy to setup and use.

My girlfriend and I used it for 1-2 times a week with light to medium loads with 600RPM/40degrees on Economy/Quick mode. I found that using 1000RPM took too long to wash the clothes (2.5hrs+) but use it sometimes when doing a load of dirty towels. The clothes come out nice and clean. The delayed timer to start the washing later was cool but never really used that feature.

This washing machine had served me well up and never skipped a beat, up until tonight where the front door will not shut. I used some force for the door to shut but the senor states door is not closed. Opening the door back out was painful enough. I've tried removing the two front screws which holds a plastic mount which has a hole in it where the door hook clings into it.

I've emailed Electrolux Customer Support today and hope to get this problem rectified as soon as possible.

Pros: Looks and only looks

Cons: Broke down within two years and repairs were equal to cost new one

Overall: I bought this m/c tinking it will give years of trouble free service. I hardly use it once a week for myself only. Just when the warranty period was over ( 2 years ) this m/c brike down. called the mechanics on yellow pages and to my horror was informed not to buy Electrolux again and no one touches it as if one part is repaired another breaks down soon.

A disappointing product with poor quality.
A company with intention to rip off customer once the m/c is in for service. A very bad attitude.

Pros: Good gentle washes, decent load capacity.

Cons: Expensive to fix after just over three years, and the second time it's had an issue.

Overall: Well... It's dead. It was a wedding present, no extended warranty and the fabulous local repair guy quoted $200 to fix it.

I've cut my losses and ordered a new machine (Euromaid), with extended warranty (and a council cash back offer) and probably won't ever buy another Electrolux washing machine.

It washes okay but not great, it's slow, and the repeated end of cycle beep drove me crazy. Not great if you have pets, it doesn't remove pet hair very well.

Difficult to clean, the rubber gets full of black wet ick. If you leave it closed it smells. Not the quality I expected from this machine.

Pros: Worked well for what I needed

Cons: Long cycle times - broke down after two years, 1 month and 28 days - out of warranty and Elecrolux wouldn't budge on charges. They don't stand behind their brand/product.

Overall: The actual product was perfect for what I needed, single guy washing once a week to once a fortnight. Although long cycle times I was happy with the results. The issue I have is after two years, 1 month and 28 days the machine has unfortunately broken down (Is there some sort of propgramming in it :)). On ringing the service centre was told, bad luck, out of Warranty and the call-out fee is $95 plus $35 for every 15mins ($140 per hour!) plus parts. Is this going to cost me $300, if so, I'd prefer to throw it out, given the experience with service.

Now I realise it is out of warranty but I would've thought that Electrolux would've stood by their product and brand a little more, rather than playing the hard line. I would be happy to contibute towards repair and did expect (hope) Electrolux would've taken in to consideration the minimal time it had been out of warranty, but no.

Speaking to Harvey Norman where I purchased it, they have been more helpful than Electrolux, they trouble shooted with me over the phone to ensure I had done all the checks and it wasn't something simple, Electrolux, no we'll get a service technician out at cost...

If you are intent on buying one I would recommend you to seriously think about purchasing the extended warrantry, but would recommend consider another brand and product.


*****Update - Marina from Electrolux has just contacted and offered the service in gesture of goodwill. She was very helpful. So obviously need to get in touch with the right area should you be close to your warranty expiry. Appreciated the prompt response from Marina, which I guess is what I sort of expected from the service centre. Thanks and has changed my opinion.

Pros: Very gentle on clothes yet washes perfectly.

Overall: So far this washing machine has worked perfectly. I am very happy with the washing cycles which cover a wide variety of situations. We are on tank water and the water conservation factor is very important to us. The machine is very gentle on clothes. I always use front loader liquid which works perfectly and the clothes are always washed very well.
I didn't want a machine that spins more than 1000rpm as high spin speeds seem to play havoc with elastic.
