Solid washing machine – After 12 years of use our machine finally gave in. Bought for $600 in 2011, surviving 4 house moves and copped an absolute punishing with multiple washes per day with kids and all. Never serviced, minimally maintained. Is still relatively water and energy efficient compared to todays models. It served us well Show details

11 years of service – Excellent machine. Average 5 loads per week. Finally E10 error but able to fix with solenoid water valve. Avoid issues by regular simple hints - clean drain filter, clean water inlet filter on the hose, allow door open after each wash to air the machine. Show details

Lasted 12 years! – Purchased in 2011 and survived all sorts; from delicates to bedding to clothes dirty from outdoor activities with the dogs. And right before it died, it still completed the wash cycle. It served my family very well! Show details

Great Service - Could have lasted longer – After 9 years of loyal service this machine has finally called it quits. The PCB has blown off as per a local tradie and no spare board available. Not particularly happy about a PCB not being available however I guess its time for a new machine anyway. Device itself served me well with no problems. With regular cleaning and maintenance the physical components worked well.  Show details

So worth the money – I have had this washing machine since 2012, over 8 years of 7+ big loads per week. I think its starting to go on me now, but I have never had it serviced either. Will definitely be purchasing another Electrolux when the time comes Show details

Excellent value top quality – Best washing machine. Previously had other washers front and top loaders and none compare. Last top loader lasted 3 years, died and leaked grease through a load of washing and multiple issues with previous front loader. Owned the Electrolux Time Saver Eco for about 7 1/2 years and still going strong. Would totally recommend 5 stars Show details

Crap, mouldy rubbish machine – General family washes. Had for 3,5 years and huge issues with the mouldy smell/mould in rubber seal. Followed instructions and still issues. New seal and only 6mths later, mouldy again. Awful. Do not recommend. Show details

Absoute Rubbish - Will Never Purchase Any Electrolux Product Again – Recirc pump dead at 2 years. Motor brushes gone at 4 years and only sold as a 'brush assembly' costing in excess of $150 - needless to say I dismantled assembly and sourced two carbon brushes for under $30. Drum counter balance loose and fell off at 5 years - dont even ask how much a new drum and weight cost (can buy a new LG machine for less). … Read more

Secured weight to drum with tube of construction adhesive and two tubes of epoxy. When this eventually fails I will be dousing it in fuel and burning the machine in my paddock - stay tuned to youtube for video.

ElectroFRAUD! Trying To Charge $145.00 for "Labour" for zero repair work! Not even an internal examination of machine! – Purchased this Electrolux washing machine several years ago which constantly breaks down, had to have it repaired multiple times at substantial cost, time wasted and inconvenience. Cost me several hundred dollars to fix in 2017 which was caused by a poorly designed and cheaply made little plastic part which looked like a cheap toy. But at least… Read more

the technician back then internally examined the machine and actually found the problem and fixed it on the spot. Now this time around in 2019 the technician didn't even bother examining the inside of the machine, he simply powered it on and pressed 2 buttons together literally for just 2 and a half minutes and that was the end of it! He said he guessed it would cost at least $380-$400 just in parts alone to fix! That's more than the current value of the machine! He said "I dunno I think maybe the motor might be dead, maybe its the board too". He in effect admitted he had no way of being 100% sure what the fault is without opening the machine to pinpoint and 100% confirm the problem. So how could he know for sure what the actual problem is? How could he know what to fix? Ridiculous!

He then said "I don't recommend repairing it, it would cost almost as much as replacing it, you're better off buying a new one, here's a loyalty voucher if you buy from us again". LOL! After all these huge $$$ expenses and time wasted I'm expected to stay loyal to the brand?! Hilarious! He then proceeded to ask me for my credit card to charge it $145.00! I asked what for, since he hadn't even looked inside to pinpoint and confirm the problem nor did he do any actual repair work? He said he wanted my card so could charge me $145.00 for "LABOUR" for the visit! So its now suddenly a "labour" fee for just coming out to your premises?! Ridiculous! A $145.00 "labour" charge even if they don't perform any actual repair work on it nor do anything like internally examining the machine to pinpoint & confirm the cause of the problem?!! what a farce!! of course i was never told i would be charged this $145.00 "labour" fee - for zero repair work done - by the customer service operator when I called! Therefore under the law there is NO CONTRACT since I NEVER AGREED to this! If I had known I would be charged $145.00 without any actual internal examination of the machine nor any repair work being performed I would have absolutely refused to have a technician come out to pay a visit!

Under consumer law since there was no contractual agreement, Electrolux can't charge a customer with an arbitrary "labour" fee if they don't tell the customer BEFOREHAND the specifics of what to expect to be charged - even if no actual repair work is done - so the customer can agree or disagree to it! When you look at the receipt he gave me there is zero mention of any kind of callout fee being charged at all! All it says is "LABOUR" fee. So $145.00 for "labour" for not having done any actual internal examination or repair work is quite frankly CONSUMER FRAUD and a sick joke! This is what you get for being a loyal Electrolux customer over many years! Hundreds of dollars wasted on previous repair bills then hit with a ridiculous $145.00 "LABOUR" fee even though No actual repair work was done to confirm or fix the problem! What a total ripoff! I'm seriously considering going to consumer fair trading if this isn't resolved! Avoid electrolux like the bubonic plague!

Broke after 6 years – There are 2 major problems with this machine that seem to be repeated in the reviews here which I've also experience: 1. They break. Mine broke after just under 6 years of use - just refused to power on again. 2. The seal gets mouldy and cannot be cleaned, no matter how much scrubbing or how many maintenance cycles you run it through. Was quoted $300 just to replace the seal - yeah right.  Show details

Had since 2010 then started getting the dreaded E10 error in 2017 – Purchases this machine in Feb 2010 and never had massive use until 2018. Started with only me and 1 other flat mate. Worked without flaws for almost 8 years and into regular use with my wife . Started getting the E10 error which is described as" a water fill time out" sometime in 2017. Its only got worse through out 2018 and into 2019. A 20min… Read more

wash cycle can take up to an hour. Researching the error indicates the water flow is blocked somewhere in the machine. Have checked the hose and its filter , all clear. Bottom filter produced a very stagnant discharge of water when emptied. How ever cleaning this out as indicated by Electrolux has failed to clear E10 error. Researching online , people have indicated the pressure switch is faulty which could be a costly repair job. Looking into a replacement now than blow hundred in parts and labor. I think the machine has come to the end of its natural life.

A bad bad purchase – Owned for 8 years and used very sparingly, being in a non-rented holiday unit. Motor failed, and cost of repair greater than a replacement. No more Electrolux appliances for us! Looks brand new on the outside, but its almost brand new motor on the inside is stuffed! Will stick with Miele, at the top end, or Simpson at the bottom.  Show details

Can't resolve the E10 error – I bought my machine 5 1/2 years ago and the softener dispenser hasn't worked for ages and lately it has been stopping and giving me an E10 error. something to do with the electronics which will need a technician to address and I assume will not be cheap. Given the other issues people are reporting with this machine (and my sisters own issues with her old Electrolux) I believe that it will be more effective to buy a new machine than repair this one. I won't be buying another Electrolux that's for sure. I've also noticed that clothes come out a bit smelly and I regularly run a cycle with vinegar to clean it.

Loved it but broken after only 8 years – Loved this machine until it broke down today after only 8 yrs. 8 years of continuous service – This machine is a workhorse. We use it twice a day for 8 years and never had any problems. Apparently you have to clean the filter after several cycles but I have only done it once in 8 years. This week I will be cleaning the pump filter for a second time as we started getting the E10 error. If I can't fix this machine, I will buy another Electrolux or try a Bosch. 8 years without maintaining it is impressive in my books.  Show details

Very unsatisfactory machine – Bought this model in 2011 at Harvey Norman and am very unhappy with it. It broke down in january 2017 n has broken down again; the water just won't come out. Average machine – Bought this machine 3.5 years ago and we've never really been overly happy with this machine. To start with you can't do a normal cold wash. It has to be a hand wash but I want it to wash thoroughly but cold but it can't be done. Have to select 30 degrees or something. It's also annoying you can't just set the time, if I pick the 30 degrees option… Read more

it goes for over an hour and if I select quick then it goes for only 20 minutes which isn't enough. If I want more time I have to select 40 degrees which goes way over an hour but then select quick which brings it down to 40 minutes.

Also it doesn't seem to matter which cycle I choose the clothes always seem to have a bad smell to them when they come out. We've always used a liquid detergent plus softener but have recently changed to a powder to see if that helps. We've run a cleaner through and t hasnt helped either... We've also always left the door open after use to let it air out.

Mechanicly it has been fine for us it would just be good to have a normal cold wash option, better run time options and not to have that weird odor...

EDIT: I've recently changed to a powder detergent and I now set it on the 30 degrees synthetic (closest I can get to cold without handwash) and i dont use quick wash and now the clothes seem to comimg out looking and smelling cleaner. Apparently quick wash uses less water so that may been my problem. Actually don't mind the machine anymore.

Still working – Had this machine since 2012. This is my first front loader and I must say I am impressed. I have not had the mould problems I've read here. The spin cycle can be loud though mine is in the shed as I don't have a laundry (I think the builder… Read more

forgot about that), I had a power surge a few months back and bought a new board online ($190 delivered to my door). A few tight clips but quite basic to fit. The machine is still running and washing clothes. (Nearly every part is available on line and the $'s are very reasonable and easy to fit). There needs to be care when handling or moving these machines as the concrete is fragile and doesn't like being dropped. Might be a warehouse problem. If you clean the powder tray once a month and open the bottom drain 2 - 3 months you shouldn't have too many issues. Maybe I just managed to buy a good one. I feel for all the consumers who have had a disaster with these machines. It is quite possible there were issues at manufacture or during shipping. The other point I will make, if you see any geckoes in your house - kill them. The ones that 'cluck' are highly destructive in 'white goods' as they get on the PC boards and fry them.

Multiple Problems - Motor, Dispenser, Mould Issue – I bought this machine in Feb 2012 (2 years warranty +3 years extended warranty = 5 Years Total). From the moment I bought the machine I had problems with the machine tripping main power supply. We thought that there could be a wiring problem at the house causing the issue. We moved to a new house and we had the same problems. The frequency of… Read more

power trips increased and I called extended warranty provider and a technician visit was arranged. Apparently, the problem was with the motor and he replaced the motor on his next visit. However, the problem was not resolved and Electrolux picked up the washing machine for extensive testing. They replaced the hose and delivered back to me. After the machine was delivered, new problems have crept up:

1. Water Leaking under the washing machine

2. Softener not dispensing

In addition, there was always some mould near the seal which inspite of cleaning up would go away - not related to this incident but long standing.

I called the Electrolux again and they said that the product was out of warranty and they couldn't do anything. These problems didn't exist when the washing machine was picked up from my home for testing/repairs. These problems have crept up after the washing machine was delivered back to me.

Very very disappointed with Electrolux. I will never spend my money or recommend anyone to buy an Electrolux product.

Will not deal with Electrolux again – We bought this machine in October 2010 after being silly enough to listen to the sales person telling us how good quality it was. Though it was noisy at times and… Read more

the mould issue in the door seal was very annoying. The timer has always been terrible! Forget whatever it says and add a lot more time!

Fast forward to yesterday, only a few months after the extended warranty ended. After finding it not spinning and still with some water in it, we did the right thing and called Electrolux. First call I was given the phone number for Radio Rentals Service to call and organise someone to look at it. Only they would not touch it as we did not purchase through them. So I called back and spent more time on hold.

Today, I was then charged $145 to take the top off and tell me the motor was blown, and it would cost almost as much to fix as it would to buy a new one, so I should just go shopping. The billable time on the receipt was a mere seven minutes!

Not good enough Electrolux. We will go with another brand when we "go shopping".
