9 years on and still running like a dream! – Bought the CS-E24NKR just over 9 years ago and still running like new, only this year the fins that rotate side to side has either broken or popped off at the little plastic lever that rotates them (will find out at service clean). This unit is used for heating and cooling all day and night (minimum 12 hours a day) as someone is always home. I… Read more · 1
liked the reliability of this unit that I purchased an even larger unit this year to replace the split system at a rental property I own, I hope Panasonic is still as reliable and this new system gets many years of trouble free use as well!
Cheaper to buy a Dyson heater – Cold throughout the whole of winter and I did not want to pay $500 for a call out . Rubbish product. Turned up the heat all the way to 30 and it still felt like 20 degrees. Not good quality at all. I'd rather buy a Dyson heater better useless Show details
Works very well 5 years in – Works very well. Have it serviced every 3 years at a cost $100 which is money well spent. Use if for heating and cooling so it gets a bit of use. I keep the filters clean and very satisfied with operations and costs. Very quiet with no o complaints from the neighbors Show details · 1
Very poor warranty service – Do not ever buy Panasonic air cond. My indoor unit encountered a faulty controller in Dec 2016. After 2 months, Panasonic still does not fix the issue despite we called them multiple times. Panasonic hand ball us to the servicing contractor. When we call the contractor, the contractor hand ball us back to Panasonic. My family has to ensure the summer heat for two months without a working air cond. Show details
Pannasonic quality – The quality of Panasonic is not what it was. We have been told by their agents that the unit needs to be replaced after only 7 years, not worth repairing. We have only used it during the hot Melbourne summer, e.g about 16 weeks in total over that 7 year period..It leaks water down the inside unit which has gone over our brand new kitchen.… Read more
Panasonic customer service is very poor and so are their service agents, who falsely claim they fixed a incorrectly installed drain pipe, which they did not as I was present at the alleged repair and they only offered a discount on a new unit. This cost us, with installation over $2400.0 and it should last 15 - 20 years. We have 2 other generic units and they continue on after 20 years. I am now taking them to VCAT. Next time it will be a Mitsubishi. I had written to the seller the Good Guys several times, but got no reply at all.
poorly designed unit – We bought this unit a couple years ago and have not been impressed. I don't write reviews in a hurry but I don't want people to make the same mistake as me. As far as efficiency goes I am impressed, but that is to be expected given the energy rating of the unit. What I am not so impressed about (and believe me it matters) is: 1) quiet mode is… Read more
not quiet. A couple of reviewers have said it is quiet, but it is simply not the case when you compare with some other units in its class. As a comparison, my parents have a Mitsubishi unit which on silent mode you can not hear at all. Do your research to make sure you get a unit that has a true silent mode.
2) the louver design is pathetic. Have a look at it in the shops and you will see straight away why. The hinge is at the top so it swings up. This means when you set the louver to blow horizontal (say when you want to blow the air across the room without feeling draft... Which is pretty much always in my case) the louver is practically useless. It pretty much makes it blow either down or down and across.
The combination of no true low fan speed (silent mode) and no ability to blow the air across the ceiling is especially frustrating on heating mode, since you don't want draft with heating. I really regret getting this unit and hope potential buyers will consider this when they choose a unit. Don't take my word for it tho. See if you can view an operational unit.
NEVER AGAIN – Purchased this unit in Jan 2015. Did not work. Installed by registered electrician. Rang Panasonic who sent a new remote after 3 weeks. Still no go. Contacted Panasonic's elect. Came and changed remote sensor in unit. Turned on yesterday and unit just hums, small amount of heat blows out on every fan setting. Bitterly disappointed. When tech comes… Read more
I will be asking for full/demand refund. After nearly 2 months, as the title says, I am over this and PANSASONIC...NEVER AGAIN.
Perfection – I have installed 4 of these and like them so much I have just purchased 3 more for the staff rooms at the school and 9 more larger CS/CU-E18 NKR for some of the class rooms. They are extremely quiet and the econavi mode is absolutely brilliant- If a class room is not being used ,the machine senses there is no-one in the room and turns off. I… Read more
thought the previous model good, but this current model is superior in every way! Best value for money, taking everything into consideration
So far, so good – We bought this system after reading choice reviews. It is not the most efficient, but was one of the quietest inside and out. It is easy to use, looks nice and the installation service by the good guys in Preston was professionally carried out and competitive. Really like the product and price. It is very quiet.
Questionable – Hi guys, we have had our air conditioner for 14 months and in this past week on the extremely hot 40+ days it started blowing hot air even though it was on 21 degress and cooling function! We tried everything with it, cleaned filters, checked drainage tubes, ran it with mild dry function, adjusted temperatures and to no avail. So we paid top… Read more
dollar to cool and heat our tiny 10 square home and it was useless! Am contacting the Good Guys today as they arranged the installation to see if it has been installed correctly. Did anybody else have issues like this??? We are EXTREMELY disappointed with this product, as we were told by the salesperson it was better than the other brands. Its quiet! Will not cool on hot days! (40+ degrees)
Great Heat Pump if you clean your filter – I was quite concerned about the other reviews complaining about their panasonic heat pumps cooling well but not heating well. But I quite like the panasonic brand and wasnt keen on Fujitsu, which have replaceable filters that you have to buy rather than wash... So I asked around and found 2 people with panasonic heat pumps around 1 year old. The… Read more · 1
first complained that theirs wasnt heating well (but cooling ok) so they cleaned their filter and then it ran great, heating the whole house. The 2nd was disappointed in theirs and said it just managed to heat their living area, so I told them about the filter and they said theyd check it and get back to me, next day they said theirs was blocked up and they cleaned it and now it runs great, heats most of the house.
So I've had mine a week now and its great- 6.3 Kw and it heats the whole house (3 bedrooms plus living/dining) quite well. (although a bit cooler down the other end). Will be keeping an eye on the filter. The manual says to clean every 2 weeks, but sounds like every 2 months is probably ok judging by the others.
Eco navi function is good.. I think. it seems to target you with the warm air. The nanoe g function (air ionising for 'sterlilising' your house/air)seems a nice thing to have but I'm sure it gave me a tight chest (i used to have asthma and tend to get tight chested with bad musty air). So I turn nanoeg off usually, but might be good to turn on every now and then to kill off mould and if visitors come with sick kids ;-).
The other good thing about the heat pump is that although its rated 6.3 kw, it can put out about 8kw, whereas some of the others cant go much above their rated power.
Yet to see my powerbill but, the power consumption is impressive- about 1.6 Kw in for 6.3Kw heat out.
I also had a very good installer (Ifix4u in Auckland), they did a good job on all the outside ducting and wiring. sealing up the joins to the house and their own concrete block to sit the outdoor unit on Powerful, quiet mode is quiet, annoying auto fan at times on and off a lot, takes a while to respond (say switching on quiet mode)
Every operation in panasonic cs-e18nkr is hidden from users – Panasonic cs-e18nkr operates and acts funny some times for example lights are blinking for no reason and you look at operating manual to find why these lights are blinking ??? you find this is secret !!! and no one tells you why this device operates like that !! I feel they are covering up for possible faults !! so customer should not know hwy… Read more
noneo-g light is blinking or why all of the sudden power green light turns to orange or why for no reason in normal weather this device starts to blew could air rather than warm air ?? The manual say the machine is reversing but this should not happen at the start of operation !!!!?? I looked every where including Panasonic web site and it appears no body knows what is happening with this device and everything is secret with this machine !!!!!! It does work OK so far Below could air when you are expecting warm air !!
Not the best item in the house but seems to work OK – Bought this one on special from the Good Guys about 3 months ago. I found it works ok. We bought this one for our study as it get very hot in summer/cold in winter. After the unit was installed, we found we can't stay in the room while it is in operation because: 1. it is quite loud and my son can't concentrate and 2. it gets really cold in the… Read more
not very big room and, finally, 3. The temperature is not very sensitive, so I found doesn't matter what temperature we select, if it is below 30C it blows much the same. I suppose if we bought it to cool a larger area it would be ok. Easy to install, installation didn't take long. It works for what we bought it for Temperature control is not very sensitive, loud, gets very cold in the room where it is installed.

Great disappointment – Three service calls in the first few weeks due to noise problems. Unit made a noise when turned off with remote control, which is unacceptable in bedroom. New part installed after 3 weeks. Still makes noises during the night, clicks, gurgling noises (coolant?). Persistent smell from unit (almonds?). Distracting flashing lights on auto comfort and… Read more
econavi. Very quiet outside unit. Regret buying it, feel there are better products available - wouldn't buy another Panasonic. Does not live up to expectations or advertising. Neat unit, except for flashing lights. Very quiet outside unit. Took 10 days to arrive in capital city. Initially poor and slow warranty service from first service agent, second agent excellent
so much for the quiet mode – we have recently installed a Panasonic Inverter air con.. the quiet mode produces the same noise level as the normal mode regardless of the fan speed setting... we are now having to turn up the volume on the t.v. to over ride the noise that the quiet mode promotes.. do you have the air con on and turn the t.v. off, who knows..... we thought it… Read more
would be nice to watch t.v. and have the air con on with the quiet mode on .. i think not....

Helps you cope with the Queensland summer – We bought one for the dining, living and kitchen area and it was great it kept this large area cool and comfortable we were so happy with the efficiency of the unit that we bought more for the bedrooms, the fact that they keep the room at the temperature you want without blowing cold air on you waking you through the night because you're freezing and it hasn't cost us that much more than running fans 24/7 Cost effective and it's not noisy
Extremely satisfied – We fitted out our entire house with these units soon after purchase (no heating or cooling at all in the property). We require both heating and cooling, and we have no access to natural gas, so these units made great sense. They are quiet, attractive, very effective (heating and cooling) and are very economical to run. Entire property purchased… Read more · 2
and installed for under $6500 as the units were on sale at Harvey Norman. The Econavi function is a godsend if you have children who constantly come and go and forget to turn off the units. Also, you can turn on the filtration system without heating or cooling; we live in the city and have the house closed-up most of the time (noise) so the filters stay on all day and keep the air fresh. The only small problem is the brightness of the lights; even when dimmed they are quite bright. I fixed this by placing some opaque duct tape over them. Effective, economical, filtration, quiet. Very bright lights distracting during sleep.
