Great value – I bought the car with these already on it (as new) and was a little worried about the cheap mud tyres given past experience with the Maxtrek MTs… Read more

(sidewall split open, paper thin) but these have held up great. We did the Gibb River Road and many others with no punctures and quite remarkably, no chipping. I live on a gravel road and find some brands chip quite severely but these have held up great. They drive very well and don't give any handling quirks that mud tyres sometimes have.

They were quite noisy for the first 5000kms or so but they have worn in and the hum is there like other mud tyres but it's not at all intrusive. They now have around 35'000kms on them and have about 25% tread left.

In terms of mud tyres I've also had BFG KM2, Mickey Thompson MTZ, Maxxis Bighorn, Kuhmo KL71, Hankook RT03. I think these compare quite favorably and are by far the cheapest.
