Great value – I bought the car with these already on it (as new) and was a little worried about the cheap mud tyres given past experience with the Maxtrek MTs (sidewall split open, paper thin) but these have held up great. We did the Gibb River Road and many others with no punctures and quite remarkably, no chipping. I live on a gravel road and find some brands chip quite severely but these have held up great. They drive very well and don't give any handling quirks that mud tyres sometimes have.
They were quite noisy for the first 5000kms or so but they have worn in and the hum is there like other mud tyres but it's not at all intrusive. They now have around 35'000kms on them and have about 25% tread left.
In terms of mud tyres I've also had BFG KM2, Mickey Thompson MTZ, Maxxis Bighorn, Kuhmo KL71, Hankook RT03. I think these compare quite favorably and are by far the cheapest.

Tread bulge and blow-out after 4 years use on 2700 kg camper – After 4 years use approx 10% wear on 2700 kg camper one tread bulge with slow leak and one freeway blow-out with tread surface hole I can put my fist through - within weeks of each other - so not comfortable with long term durability

Initial impressions are very good with these muddies – These are the first cheapo Chinese tyres I have ever bought. Bit short on money post-Christmas, and my usual go-to muddies Maxxis are out of my price range. So I researched the bottom end of the market and selected these. Hifly's aren't the absolute cheapest in this price category. What I did like about them was the amount of rubber that was on the tyres. Some of the even cheaper Chinese ones have much bigger distances between the rubber blocks, which in my subjective opinion mean means less rubber, will wear quicker and more chance of being staked by a rock.
I am quietly surprised how well they are going.
Like all muddies, they do make that characteristic humming sound on the blacktop. But no more or no less than the many other brands I have used. Certainly not loud.
They handle well on the road, I felt comfortable driving in the wet. Braking is good went and dry.
Off road they are great so far. Have done two decent 4wd trips on hard, rocky mountainous fire trails. They offer good traction, spat out rocks onto my side rails well. When deflating they bag out nicely. Driving on dirt roads I felt exactly as if I was driving on my Maxxis muddies, I just felt comfortable.
I don't sand drive, so no ideas how they will go there.
Time will tell how long they last and how many km I will get out of them.
So far, so good. For tyres at the bottom of the price point they are punching well above their weight.

Good tyres allround,! – Put on a set of Hifly Mt 601 and are pleasantly surprised, deep tread slings mud they don't clog, and good on rocks and gravel. On the road a wee bit of noise but not bad, seem to go around corners better than ATS I had! Havnt tried wet grip hasn't rained! Brought these cause know bloke that had the AT version of these for bout 3 years and still got tread, and didn't have problem.Probably try these later in the winter in snow going over the pass! Will update on tread wear later.

Good all rounder, very hard to fault – Purchased earlier this year to replace my aging Cooper STs on my 1993 Pajero, these tyres have impressed me from the first day of fitment. On road: Road noise, braking and cornering is impressive for a mud terrain. Whilst these won't compete with an SUV-on road-dedicated tyre from a manufacturer like Pirelli, you'll be pleasantly surprised by their on road behaviour. There is a background 'hum' at higher speeds (>75km/hr) that's nowhere near as loud as other mud terrains such as Baja Claws or Super Swampers.
Off Road: Good on gravel, but where these tyres shine is in mud. Adequate bite from the tread lugs gets you through most stuff, especially when aired down. The tread pattern self cleans well with a bit of wheel speed/wheel spin. Even in thick clay, I'm yet to see them clog up. I've tested these tyres across almost every surface except snow and so far they've exceeded my expectations.
Price: Compared to tyres of the same size class, these units are considerably cheaper. Market leaders such as Goodyear, Bridgetsone and Michelin offer the same size mud-terrain tyres at almost three times the price.
Overall: These tyres are a good buy for the price, regardless of what type of driving you do. If you're happy to accept minor on-road discrepancies that remind you that you're on mud terrains, the MT601s won't disappoint.

Thought I would provide an update. Well, it's been 2 and a bit years since I've been running these. I've travelled just over 50,000km and these tyres are ready to be replaced. For such cheap tyres, 50k, I reckon that is awesome.
They've done plenty of off roading as well as around town. Off road tracks mostly of the type I describe in my original review. I have rotated them once (yes, I know, I know :-) and I haven't got a front end alignment since purchasing (bit like... tyres, good luck, you are on your own now.. lol).
But they have been great. Done lots of muddy tracks and like other muddies, they went well and spat the stones out without filling with mud in between the blocks. The noise from them remained very low, I've run other muddies that are so loud you need to crank your stereo up a few notches - not these Hifly's. They are very quiet when completely worn out. Not a single puncture. No damage to tread blocks, no cuts or abrasions. My usual off-road terrain is rocky fire trails, and they are great for them. No idea how they go on sand.
So, do I recommend them - hell yes. They did the job great. Would I buy another set - hell yes, no hesitation at all. Although, I'm buying a different brand now so I can try them out - I'm no tyre fan-boy and will give anything a go.
I do recommend these as a budget, reliable set of muddies.
