to be programmable for user memory and show body mass index, body fat%, etc. The weight readings are easily accessed by just standing on the scales. As per the user manual, the other functions require the user to "Press the centre of the platform and make sure no weight is on the scale". This is required for "Changing the unit", "zero setting", setting and accessing user memory and using all the other features of the scales. The first scales would only show weight readings when standing on the scales. Nothing happened when the platform was pressed in the centre and the only way user programs could be set was to stand on the scales to show the weight reading and then press the square icon between the arrows. None of the other features were accessible because the scales would not come on when the centre of the platform was pressed. User programs could only be set but not accessed. The scales appeared to be faulty and were returned and replaced by David Jones on 31 October. The same problems exist on the replaced scales. I have followed the user manual but the instructions either wrong or the scales faulty again or both. There is no one to speak to in Australia and the support for these is out of the UK. I have sent an email and I am waiting for a reply before I return these or get proper instructions and accessing all the features. If you just want bathroom scales to show weight, then you can find much cheaper options. I do not recommend these scales because they do not function as advertised on the box and user manual.
