small. Did the job, barely. At almost $700 Au the Stihl is not cheap. Three times the price of the others. I'm just a domestic small block user but I so recommend the Sthil. 1. It weighs a LOT so unless its concrete ballest I"m assuming its a BIG motor (it will last) 2. The design package is superb - big wheels to tow or push it; fitings are SO easy to use (compared to the previously mentioned brands and models); extendable handle; onboard tools. 3. The hose has a winder spool. This is a 1000 % upgrade from anything else. 4. The hose is not stiff - prevents kinking, which would eventually break ur hose and will add hours to ur cleaning jobs in the meantime. 5. The hose is long enough and the reel and design means that on a 6-700 sq m block u can position the unit once or twice (depending on ur external power point locations and length of any extension cords) to ur work area. This a. Saves set up time b. reduces electric cord-water hose-pressure hose tangles c. Eliminates damage to hoses and cords. d. Saves a LOT of time. e. Keeps the electrical supply cord out of the water ( that u create buy pressure washing) 6. There are two end nozzles - the "line" pattern that is also provided with lesser brands and models. This is great for most domestic jobs incl. fences, paths and driveways. The end pressure is adjustable. By comparison with my basic Katcher ($200) it removed way more noticeable mould from my pavers, at full pressure. U could also adjust it down for washing cars or boats. 7. THEN there is the non-adjustable rotary nozzle. WTF? Read the owers manual. It warns u to wear safety glasses. Because, I can testify, it is not pressure adustable and can literally blast particles from ur pavers or blocks (especially if they are manufactured/reconstituted). Wear old clothes, closed footwear and u'll have to shower afterwards to wash the 'stuff" from ur hair. Hold the end back a bit from the target surface and watch it clean large areas in (no joke) 1/5 th of the time of lesser machines. It removes paint, if u r not careful. U do not need anything more than this unless u have a farm or are a commercial operator. I purchased Stihl battery garden tools 2 yrs ago and have found them faultless and perfect. I purchased the Stihl pressure washer based on my experience with Stihl products. Do urself a favour and talk to a Stihl supplier when considering ur next outdoor power tool product.

wand started to leak and there was no pressure at all. It still works with the bottle but that's it. Useless. Used for 120 hours.

off the wand like a projectile. This hard plastic missile does amazing things for the paint and panel work of your car. Thankfully Stihl dealer fixed this under warranty. Fast forward to early 2023 with fortnightly use for cars and driveway cleaning in between, and the pump develops a leak. Stihl dealer investigates and pronounces it "too expensive to repair, just get another one." ??? Well I can’t let it rest there, surely it’s just an o ring. Turns out the pump main casing seal is ruptured and with a new design that seals a pump, motor and gearbox, that is filled with lubrication, all together with the same attaching bolts. Hence you cannot repair any component independently. Well done Stihl you truly have made a machine with built in obsolescence in mind. Don’t pay the price premium this brand once deserved.
