Its ok – It's an ok fan. It doesn't do anything different than any others though. Has the natural breeze mode which is more a novelty than anything. I tried… Read more
it and it gets annoying after a while hearing the fan speed altering between fast and slow and feeling it blowing fast then slow, it kept me awake rather than help me go to sleep. Its supposed to mimick a natural breeze but to me it doesn't. Lots of fans have this feature now. I'll never bother using it again. I wouldn't rate it a must have feature. Some may think its ok I guess. It oscillates nice and quiet so that's good. Noise wise from the fan itself I honestly cant notice much difference between it and my cheaper Altise which has the exact same features. I was expecting it to be quieter than it is by reading reviews about it on other sites, unfortunately they were exaggerating that. The remote is quite weak to be honest. Is it mine or are they all the same? I don't know but mine has to be pretty much in line with the control face on the fan, anything more than about 30 degrees angle and nothing happens. My other fan I can be anywhere in the room and press it and it works. This things pretty heavy too meaning its not the type of thing you move about much. An elderly person or someone with arthritis will find it too heavy to move it from one room to another. I suppose its good though to resist toppling by a child or an animal. The packaging leaves a bit to be desired as there is no foam protection for it in the box. Mine had a huge crack in the housing which was obviously a result of the poor packaging. There was a small knock mark on the box and I guess thats what did it. If it had foam cushioning or something like that I doubt the knock would have done anything. It was replaced by the shop though. Id recommend checking it out before taking it home, it may save you a return trip to the shop. Im hoping the extra cost will mean it lasts longer than others and was the main reason for me spending the extra dollars on it.

OK fan – I believed CHOICE but it turned out that it's just an AC fan like Kmart one but just better plastic. It's ok for a large busy living area where the… Read more
noise is very tolerant. But sitting 3 meters away in a home office it upsets at lowest level as all other AC fans do. I put my noise cancelling ear phone on. In contrast to a DC fan I have, I sit 2 meter away I hear nothing. Oh my laptop's fan is noisier than the DC fan actually.
Other things for you to consider:
- the dark colour doesn't really fit into my coastal home, not the machine's fault really. - heavy. top-heavy. you don't need to go to gas if you move it around every day. - remote control is like 90's TV. You need to be close, in front, stretch your arm and straight point to it so I avoid it. - good thing: solid build quality, super steady, no rattling while on swing mode. and dark glossy plastic may go well with modern home. - go get a DC fan for noise sensitive use cases.
Funny HN censored my review on their web because I alert people to think it twice.
