has worked perfectly and does a far better job of removing the air compared to a Foodsaver I tried and an Aldi $50 special. I just think it has a more powerful motor. One point to note and I think that this important. With most vacuum sealers as soon as the motor stops you press the buttons to release the lid. Watching the instructional video, there is a third and I believe important step that you shouldn't miss with the Dometic. As soon as the motor stops, the light at the top keeps flashing orange for about 5 seconds then stops with an audible click. It's at this point that you release the lid. I think this completes the seal. I have yet to have a bag lose its seal doing it this way and I've probably sealed about 500 with bit.
