The Hyundai i20N is a rare balance between daily comfort and hot hatch thrills. I ordered mine in Dragon Red because I wanted it without the red… Read more
highlight strip on the lower lip. (Dragon Red doesn’t have that small detail).
Overall, I love it. It looks clean and blends into traffic like a normal hatch when you need it to. But at the press of a button it likes to make some noise. I wouldn’t say it’s overly fast. It’s quick and zippy.
The cabin is driver-focused, though the leather bolsters feel a bit cheap. The sound system is “Bose” but it sounds like a normal stereo that my Astra had.
On the road, the engine is eager, the gearbox engaging (can feel a bit too much feedback but I suppose that’s the idea of it isn’t it?), and the fuel economy is decent.
It’s fun. It’s a cheap mid life crisis cheer, and it’s good value for 40k.
The tyres it comes with are garbage!

I'll never buy a Hyundai vehicle again – FS5 2018, Hyundai Veloster Coupe SR Turbo, Automatic Transmission. Vehicle randomly stops accelerating between 1st & 2nd gears. Alloy wheels… Read more
discoloured twice, they were replaced by Hyundai under warranty the 1st time but not the 2nd time. Boot struts starting to fail plus now the boot button won't work so now I can't open the boot. I have to fold the back seats down crawl into the boot & use a screwdriver to slide a lever to the right that unlocks the boot but at the same time I have to pust the boot up with 1 hand. Clear coat starting to peal off on the rear spoiler plus above the boot button & on the painted plastic inserts between the roof & the front doors. Hyundai won't repair or replace anything.

the windows are up. I thought it would be noisy since it’s close to the ground. AC/Heat feels good . Very affordable. It is enough room to seat 4 people comfortably and maybe a small child in the rear seat. Pop open trunk and fuel cap. The best feature is you can use personal IPhones to play music, movies and news. Cruise control.

I kept it for 13 years, but only because things kept breaking and had to be fixed to sell. Great mileage but that is about it. Terrible view through… Read more
the windscreen, vision obstructed on both sides, very dangerous. Air conditioning compressor was leaking oil 7th year, no warranty, which the dealer charged $150 to tell me what I already knew. I replaced it twice! $1200 each time by auto electrician, same fault. Window switch failed. Radio has a built in design fault where the sound drops out over time and then there is none, replaced radio. Notchy steering. Noisy engine when cold - everyone must have heard about the ledgendary Hyundai engine problems. This car was driven very little and modestly serviced by dealer up to year 5, then by authorised mechanic 6 monthly from then on, final odo about 61000km Never again!
