separate times — the final incident being the most dangerous: the vehicle suddenly stalled inside a busy tunnel with 80 km/h traffic, nearly causing a major accident. It had to be emergency towed, putting my life and others at risk.

Despite multiple repair attempts and direct communication with Mahindra, I received only vague responses, missed follow-ups, and constant delays. Even after sending a formal legal notice with a deadline, the company simply asked me to “bear with them.” No loan car was offered upfront. No meaningful resolution.

Under Australian Consumer Law, this clearly constitutes a major failure. I have since lodged complaints with NSW Fair Trading and NCAT and am pursuing a full refund with compensation.

I’ve owned other vehicles over the years, but this has been the worst ownership experience by far — both in terms of product reliability and customer service. I strongly caution anyone considering Mahindra to think very carefully. A company’s true value is revealed when things go wrong — and in my case, Mahindra failed completely
