One month after purchasing the top spec AX7l and delighted with this great value SUV. Was downsizing from a Kia Carnival, but needn't have worried… Read more

because despite it's small size a comfortable and spacious experience.. Will update if anything changes going forward, but if you're looking an under 30K I highly recommend including this is your 'homework' as I did and definitely giving it a test drive. Although the upgrades are great value, I would have been happy with the base model (especially as no fan of sun roof and for a cooler car in our very hot summers I prefer a white roof rather than the two tone that seems compulsory on top spec models these days) . However, daughter on Ls, who loved the sun roof, was picking the car which will be hers as of mid next year. Despite not having an ANCAP, it had excellent crash test results and all the safety tech to appease my parental concerns, including a lane keep assist which is not insane like the reviews criticize in other sub 30K alternatives. As of now it is certainly in the running for my car after the handover to daughter. With solar panels on my roof I might go electric, but unlike petrol cars I think EVs have much improvement ahead of them that I think makes it wise to wait.

Update: Four months in and after completed service at Mahindra's Bowen Hills dealership, that from woe to go has been great, fixing a minor issue with boot, still very happy. Quite a few pleasant surprises along the way, with the most recent, being the car, via a lovely Indian female voice, informing me my tyre pressure was low. By the way I didn't mention it, but I had the windows tinted (through the dealership) and because of exterior plastics, the car ceramic coated first week of ownership (as apparently the sooner the better) at Car Ceramic Protection Virginia and am very happy with both. Forgot to mention that having knobs, rather than everything in the screen was a major convenience and safety selling point for me (and has made driving more pleasurable for sure) and funny enough, apparently going forward ANCAP will stop giving five stars to these everything in the screen cars.
