Machine looks impressive and promising but problems started as soon as I opened the box: Australian power adaptor was worst quality possible (which is not a problem as everyone has good working spare one!), but at the back there is no landline telephone port which is crucial for home phone since NBN took over. Secondly, there is no USB ports either which we use for Samba SMB file transfer that accommodates whole household. Third problem, the worst one, is lack of English user manual. No printed nor online. Even if you use Google translate, which helps a big time, process of setting up becomes a nightmare as you need to use your mobile since PC is not attached to WiFi and refresh screen feature reloads User manual to the first page and back to Cantonese writing. Then, you need to download Mi Home app which, every time you use it to navigate through setup, asks for confirmation of your account by sending you an email which requires the change of screen and make login page reset. Nightmare... Only worst than that was logging on 192.168.31.1 as there you can't even use Google translation because half of the texts and illustrations are actually photos, which translators doesn't register as a task to do. Anyway, since most of our gadgets are not yet completely wifi 7 compatible and my current NBN speed is solid 50mbs anyhow, I have decided to send it back while I can expect partial refund (delivery, GST and some other tariffs are not refundable, so be careful!!) and wait for local prices to drop and wi-fi 7 become more common.
