share some pros and cons in hope that it helps others make a decision:
PROS Unbeatable price, 10 year warranty, high build quality and solid parts, soft castors, sturdy structure, very comfortable seat, great seat height and inclination range for short and tall users, has a head rest, looks very sleek (though subjective), back mesh material makes the chair very breathable. After 1 year of heavy use the condition is near perfect. Can try and pick up from a physical store.
CONS The arm rests and neck rest is not adjustable, seat does not decline far enough for a movie position.
It's not a perfect chair, nor the most comfortable i have used however, for the price that you pay it definitely exceeded my expectations and therefore i would give this a 5/5. I'f you're after a top tier chair where price isn't a major factor then Herman Miller or Steel Case would be more suitable my in my personal opinion - and having used both heavily over the years - i can't justify the marginal cost over a Markus.
Looks good, but not comfortable – Bought this chair last year, design wise its a good looking but cushion is firm and not good for long term +4 hours sitting, would not recommend for an office chair. Back support not bad but cushion is a deal breaker, sore butt Show details
A product that does not meet expectations – The Ikea SKRUVSTA is a swivel desk chair that looks quite attractive and on initial inspection and use, seemed to be quite sturdy. Unfortunately… Read more
after a little over two years use, it has broken due to its construction. The chair itself is constructed of hard foam covered in a cloth material. The foam chair base has a plywood base that is used to attach to the swivelling base. After normal use as a desk chair, the foam cracked away from the plywood base making the chair unusable. There was a time when Ikea chairs were sturdy with a demonstration chair being constantly pummeled by a weight. I don't think our chair was tested enough. A desk chair under normal usage should last longer than three years. Very disappointed that a chair costing $159.00 should literally fall apart after three years of use.
