All You Need To Clean Up Around The House – This pressure washer comes with several different attachments for a vast array of jobs. Obviously the (very powerful) pump itself is easily enough… Read more

pressure to get through any job. Mould on the concrete - gone. Oil & grease on the BBQ - gone. 4WD'ing in the mud - gone.

The in-handle storage of the hose is damn handy, although you do have to disconnect the hose from either the handle or the pump (or both) to do it. Luckily, connecting and disconnecting the hose is a piece of cake.

The variable spray head is probably the one I have used the most because it can be adjusted to suit most applications. If you have some incredibly tough mess to clean up there is the 'turbo lance' but I imagine it may do some serious damage if you were too aggressive with it.

I did try out the patio cleaner head and while it does a quick clean up (it definitely makes a difference), I ended up switching to the variable head for a better clean. What really surprised me were the attachments for the car - I've used foam cannons from both Meguires and Karcher and while they were both good, this is GREAT. Such a good thick, even coat of foam - better than I have ever seen. After that, I used the rotary brush for some manual agitation, and it quickly and thoroughly cleaned up the paintwork

For $300, this thing will clean up almost anything around the house

Game changer for the Artificial Turf and car – I can attest to Debbie C's review that hubby is like a kid let loose in a water park when using this. Since buying it he's spent hours outside and… Read more

all our old and tired possessions are like new again.

The main reason we purchased it was for the Artificial Turf in our courtyard. After the rains of 2022 it was barely visible under the dirt and moss, and we had no idea how to save it. The Ryobi turned it back to looking like a freshly mown real lawn, washing the moss, mud & weeds down the drain & turning our retaining wall back to something resembling timber.

Purchased from Bunnings for $229 in 2023, it comes with 2 different type pressure nozzles, a rotary brush & detergent spray bottle. It's easy to move around while using as it has wheels, and connects with regular hose fittings.

It looks and feels like decent quality when using it, without any junky plastic parts that feel like they'll break in 6 months. It's also fairly easy to switch between accessories with my tiny lady-hands without me swearing like a trooper - something that isn't possible with many other household appliances!

Last week I went out to wash my car and hubby chased me down with the pressure washer & accessories. Having an older black car means washing it needs to be done quick so the suds don't dry and leave marks on the paint, and the Ryobi didn't disappoint.

The detergent spray bottle worked a dream to get the wash & wax on, the rotary brush meant less elbow grease required and the high pressure nozzle washed it all away leaving a sparking dream machine behind. I have to say it was a little bit exciting using the pressure washer to wash the suds off, so I get the addiction that hubby has.

So far we can't fault the Ryobi RACPWS2. It works as needed and doesn't disappoint in the least.

Ryobi 2030 psi pressure cleaner (model RACPWS6) Replaced my 6-year-old Gerni cleaner with this unit. The Gerni was good but the Ryobi looked to be… Read more

the better unit at this price point and the difference for me was the ability to use multiple pressure nozzles as the lance uses std. ¼ inch fittings. Various size pressure nozzles are readily available and relatively cheap – the Ryobi comes with a std. 15-degree nozzle and a rotating turbo nozzle, along with a foam sprayer for cleaning and car washing etc. and a rotary surface cleaner for use on concrete and paved floors.

The cleaner is rated at max. pressure 2030 PSI (rated pressure 1450 PSI). It is difficult to compare pressure washers on the pressure rating advertised. For example, this pressure washer advertises 2030 PSI pressure but that might be with a zero-degree small nozzle, real world rated pressure is 1450 PSI, which puts this cleaner in the place of capable of cleaning concrete and decking surfaces and usable for washing the car, at the same time being careful with the distance from the car. If you have bigger requirements for pressure you may need to look further.

Similarly, the machine is rated at 7 L/m max. flow but the rated flow is 6 L/m. You need to dig around for this information, the manufacturers will advertise the machine as the highest possible rating, not what it runs at in average operating situation.

The motor is 1800w and has enough power to run the pump, the noise level is around 87db and as is typical with these cleaners, a noisy clunking sound emits when the trigger is released. The power cord supplied is 5 metres long.

The cleaner comes compact as a kit in the box and some assembly is required – you do not need to be technically minded to assemble it, it is easy just by following the step-by-step instructions in the manual. The body of the machine is solid plastic, but I have to say that the handle and the hose reel are “soft” plasticky feel and does not seem all that robust, time will tell. The plastic cable reel is good, and needs some assistance to wind in the 7-metre hose. The pressure hose is ok, tangling when in use not a big issue. The 7-metre length is standard. The water inlet connector is hard plastic, not metal, we will see how that goes.

The weight of the cleaner is around 8kg which is good for mobility and moving it, but it does also have wheels on the base to transport it around. The lance is good with lockout on the trigger and the fitting of the hose and nozzles etc. is good with strong connection. The lance has a lock lever on the handle to prevent it turning as well. Clicking the hose into the front of the machine is good and the slide lock works in the right direction so you can pull the lever and disconnect with one hand easily.

Using the machine is very easy, and I have tested out the capability on rough concrete floor, rendered walls and exposed aggregate concrete floor with the surface cleaner and pool glass fencing. The cleaner does a pretty good job on all surfaces and the power is adequate for most jobs. The surface cleaner did a good job on aggregate concrete surface in the patio, but my aggregate is ground smooth, so not sure how the surface cleaner would good on rough exposed aggregate.

My only small gripe about the lance is that as a taller person, it is a little bit short – could have been about 50mm – 75mm longer. It is possible to buy some aftermarket lance extensions with std ¼ inch fittings. Ryobi sell a backwards compatible lance and adapter kit for extra reach.

All in all, a very good cleaner and good quality at this price point, and comes with std. 4-year warranty with additional 2 years extension if you register with Ryobi online, which is easy to do. If you have a lot of Ryobi tools you may already have them in your online Ryobi toolkit which makes it all very easy to manage and maintain.

Despite some little gripes, and opportunity to make a couple of improvements, this pressure washer is very good for what it aims at, versatile and capable of medium to heavy cleaning jobs, without overtaxing the budget. PROS: Compact cleaner, easy to transport around at 7.8kg; Good pressure and versatile for a range of applications; ¼ inch fittings are good – easy to buy extra nozzles and fittings after market; All connections snap and lock and feel secure.; The slide lock lever on front of the machine is just pushing action to engage pressure hose and one-handed operation on the slide lever to remove it; 1800-watt motor gives plenty of power to run the machine; Hose reel on top of machine is good to wind up the hose; The 15 ° nozzle, turbo nozzle, surface cleaner, and foaming attachment are good to get you started; 6-year warranty is good (4 years + 2 when you register on line with Ryobi)

CONS: Handle is a bit plasticky, but expected in consumer grade product to keep the cost down; The lance could be 50mm – 75mm longer, but apparently adapter kit is available to increase length;

Ryobi may have let it's reputation down with the R36XOW26 pressure washer. The outside of the box says 2030PSI but the pressure setting button says… Read more

1800PSI. Using the pressure washer it didn't seem to reach even 1800PSI. The box had one 36V battery yet the machine had space for 2 and seem to need 2 to develop any reasonable pressure. Two batteries certainly made a difference to the output. Got run time of 17 minutes with 2 fully charged batteries. This run time, combined with the poor pressure, meant the amount of work the machine could do before a recharge was a long way below expectations. Basically need overnight to recharge the batteries also. Disappointing purchase.

I've found other Ryobi products to be good, well made and reliable - a batterystrimmer and 2nd hand circular saw and drill have performed… Read more

brilliantly. So I bought a Ryobi water pressure cleaner, confidently expecting a well made item with reliable performance. It’s already been returned to Bunnings with anger and regret. Regret? Because it has a good pressure and cleaning ability. Anger? 1. The wheels start wobbling and eventually fall off. They are snap on items - like most of it. I needed to move it up and down a sloped drive and the stupidly designed plastic wheels juddered as soon as they moved along, then started wobbled, and then fell off. The split axle were seen to be distorted. It's a pathetic design. 2. The handle has to be pulled up to wheel it around - which is good. But there’s no provision for keeping it locked down so there’s no way of lifting it easily. 3. There was no way the small diameter drum would take the pressure hose coiled around it when not in use. This just got in the way and was detached. 4. The pressure hose is supposed to be detached by a plastic trigger on the body and on the wand. On day two one end locked solid. On day 4 the other end locked solid. Impossible to detach without breaking the plastic trigger 5. The plastic clip on holders are cheap and nasty and come off. 6. The fan jet attachment, probably the more used of the two jet nozzles, is made of plastic and incredible small. It’s just waiting to be lost. Why the difference in size between it and the cone jet which is a good substantial size? The fan jet has a clip on attachment to the pressure hose, just waiting to get knocked off and lost. 7. The attachment for the water hose is made of plastic. Really? This is possibly the connection subject to most force. I've never seen another make where this is not metal 8. I couldn't find a way to post this review on the Ryobi site, full of suspiciously admiring comments, which frankly don’t reflect the reality of using this item.

This product has a very good cleaning pressure but its housing is a disaster. Stopping to push a wheel back on every 10 minutes, not being able to use the reel for storing the pressure hose then not being able to detach it at all just made the whole exercise of pressure washing the outside of my property a nightmare, a pity as the actual water pressure was very good.
