cheaply. Arrived with hairline fractures throughout the board. Don't waste your money, definitely save time money and get a better product elsewhere. Very disappointed.

Easy to rip on, easier to snap – Bought my first Germ from Mona Vale, Sydney this year. It was a 5'10, not future flex and i picked it up for 500 bucks as it had been in the store… Read more

for a while. I'm 6'2 and weigh 82. First surf i was so pumped, convinced it was the best board i'd ridden. Then i snapped it on a 1 foot piece of turd closeout. I took it back and they gave me a store credit for the cost of the board as i broke it in the first week of ownership, stoked. So i custom ordered a 5'9 future flex Germ with 5'10 dimensions and thicker glass. This cost another 500 bucks as it was worth 1000. A few surfs later and i snapped it in a similar situation as the first one. I was gutted and confused. I owned a 5'8 Hypto before these boards and flogged it for well over a year as my main board, took it to indo and everything. Oh and i bought it used! So I won't buy into HS making weak boards, my uneducated guess would be that the Germ has a weak spot under your front foot because of the funky concave. Whereas the Hypto at 5'8 is one meaty sucker which could be why it took such a beating. But the Germ is way better under the feet if your not feeling lazy. I'd be keen to try out the Merlot.

I should add the customer service is next level at HS, everyone i have delt with there have been lords
