Horrible experience at 4Cyte Pathology, Contact centre staff (13 42 98) were very unprofessional when I followed up with them for the delay of getting my testing results. 48 hours post the test, the lady answered my call was very rude and questioned why I followed up as the PCR results can take more than 3 working days (but I was advised by my doctor that results should be available within 24 hours). After waited for another 3 days, I had to call them again to follow up again as no result was sent to me. When I was finally connected to the call centre, again, staff were impatient and simply said 'oh yeah, someone made a mistake when entering my mobile number to their system' - I even double confirmed my mobile number with 4Cyte when I called the first time, and yet they still got it wrong. Definitely not going back to 4Cyte anymore as they are hopeless

Spoke to 134298 main number. The person I spoke to Michelle was so rude and every time I spoke in plain unbroken English she just kept telling me to hold on almost like she didn't understand what I was saying. doctor's name to the copy two section of the pathology form, Will it go to him?" And her response was "he's on the database now". Because of her series of ridiculous questions after I answered them 20 times previously I asked her to answer the question exactly so that I don't have to chase up the pathology reports and I said that didn't answer my question. She replied"well it does actually" To which I replied due to her bad manners throughout the whole phone call "look I don't want to get into an arguement with you I just want to know yes or no... Will future pathology reports go directly to my doctor from now on?" Her answer was yes.... (finally) Obviously people like Michelle shouldn't have customer-facing roles because it's too much stress for her to answer a simple question and add a name to a database. She even mentioned that she doesn't want somebody else to go through the s*** that she went through to get a doctor's name onto the database.

Extremely unprofessional and if I were her she would miss the written warnings and go straight to go see him subordination and be fired.

Absolutely disgusting and as a result I do not recommend 4Cyte to anyone suffering any medical issues because you're under enough stress as it is and you don't need to do with people like this when just trying to get a simple answer.

If I could give zero stars I would.

I attended the Forest Lodge pathology at the Tramsheds and the whole experience was brilliant. Having my blood taken and quick and easy as well as arranging a monitor was smooth and easy. I highly recommend attending

I have worked in medicine for over 40 years and was extremely impressed with the communication and professionalism of the 4Cyte collector at Wilberforce Rooms. His blood collection skills were gentle and precise with no ill effects afterwards. My daughter and I will return!

Awesome experience at 4Cyte Pathology Hornsby – **⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars** I had a fantastic experience at 4Cyte Pathology in Hornsby. Sheene was exceptional throughout the entire process. Her skill and professionalism made what is usually an uncomfortable experience completely painless. I've had numerous pathology tests over the years, and this was by far the best experience I've ever had. Highly recommend Sheene and the team at 4Cyte Pathology!

Very unsatisfactory service. Went to Jordan Spring Centre for my daughter's blood collection. Person working there first tried her one hand, couldn't find a vein, then kept moving the needle here and there to find veins, still failed. Then again tried the other other hand. Do not recommend 4Cyte. We never had this with Douglas Hanly Moir.

them. They rang the company to get results where no one answered the phones. And this is at 9am in the morning. My advice DO NOT get ur bloods or anything else to be tested by 4Cyte especially if u want correct/results on time sent to ur DR. U CAN TAKE UR FORM & U GET FROM UR DR TO GET TESTED FROM ANY LABORATORY.

the delay, I could not resolve the claim through my insurer.

While I have now paid the account, this experience was stressful and could have been avoided with timely billing and proper follow-up. I hope the practice improves their administrative processes to prevent similar issues for other patients.

If I could do a zero star I would have done that. Very incompetent attendant who was moving the needle in the vein after putting it in. My blood did not stop even after few hours. Very painful and unempathetic behaviour by the staff at Out Medical Centre, Marsden Park. Avoid them!!!

The guy at Coffs Harbour Park Beach Plaza is incompetent and unprofessional. He cannot read pathology forms and requests, and acts all bothered about having to do ANYTHING. pay the final payment without any prior reminders. Upon called customer executive person said they reserve the right to send emails asking for payment anytime. When asked and provided details about no initial communication and reminders they did not have an answer came back saying it should be covered by the Insurer under bulk billing.

Frustrating to handle situation like this, we are not in third world country to be scammed without doing any prior checks and sending shocker bills to customers.

Be considerate and fix your process first before dropping something in customers inboxes.

Disappointed and won't be going back – Person came in 15 minutes late. They had someone being supervised but I wasn't asked whether this is ok. My vein was very prominent but she still missed it. The other person had to take over. I now have a bruise on my arm.

mind I checked with the 4 cyte employee before leaving to ensure I had nothing outstanding and to understand the next steps / process from here.

The 4 cyte employee said everything was all good in terms of payments & to expect a call from the doctor when my results come in.

When the invoices came in 4 weeks late I called to query them of which I was told 4-Cyte are unable disclose what the invoices are for, but recommended I make a payment as soon as possible to avoid further action.

I asked to speak with a manager after speaking with 3 different customer services representatives who were little to absolutely no help... I asked to speak with a manager so we can get to the bottom of this...

I was put on hold on and off for approx 30 mins in total, for the same customer service rep to come back and say in a very condescending / threatening mannor

I am still in dispute with this, but my goodness, sort your process and communication lines out!

believe 4 cyte result was totally fake. I think they did not do anything. Sample collector girl collected my sample in absent mind. That time she was busy with Facebook. Over all it was a rubbish service. I don't know how to complain against 4 cyte.

Hidden charges – To start with they had the wrong address on their website. Then a month or so after the blood test I got an invoice in the mail. I had not been told that I would get charged for this. If something is going to cost $444 I'd like to know about it in advance

getting a hold of a customer service representative (40 minutes wait), now they are advising that it will take one extra week. I have asked to receive this update in an email,as I wanted a written confirmation, no email received yet. It's understandable that refunds may take time to be processed. What is not understandable by any means is the lack of communication.

Awful pathology location information – The QR code on the back of your pathology form takes you to a Covid-19 testing centre. A google search is not clear with information and finding an actual Pathology testing centre became stressful. I am disabled, I had been fasting and 4 locations later I asked a Laverty Pathology if they could do it and they did. 4cyte have really poor information and see doctors as their clients, not the patients so they just don't care.

declared heart attack. Next day I got my angiography and artery blocked was 99 percent and got stent immediately. All doctors and staff was shocked with 4cyte results of blood. Now I am consulting lawyers for legal action because I am alive. Please don't go to this pathology.

I then asked about her needing copy of my GP referral as the Dr wanted to also check for any other respiratory viruses. She said oh you didn’t say. My initial thoughts were you didn’t greet me or explain anything and I didn’t get a chance to say anything. I got my phone out and she then said she needed a hard copy. I said the Dr emailed this after a Tele-health appointment and I don’t have a hard copy. I then asked did she have a printer inside and I could I email to her. She responded ‘Haha, no someone broke our printer ages ago’. I said don’t bother just process the PCR test. I don’t have time to go home, print and drive back.

Given Labor have changed the rules and people now have to pay $80 for a Dr’s appointment to get a referral to get the PCR or pay $120, 4ctye need to improve their processes and train their staff better including some simple customer service. Oh, and fix your printer!

Covid test result very late – I was tested at 1pm yesterday and told my result would be ready the next morning. It was ready the next night. Other pathology labs were a lot faster and some test for RSV & influenza at the same time. A slow result can mean one is too late for antivirals.

Update to my previous review – I had success in having the costs for my wife and me cancelled and 4Cyte will bill Medicare instead. I had made a formal complaint to the Queensland Office of the Heath Ombudsman. doctor's referral, the QLD government allowed for a charge. I told them that I did go to the medical centre just across 4Cyte mobile COVID test site and that the medical centre directed me go to 4Cytes test site. I further explained to 4Cyte that they had no signs advising of the costs and no staff mentioned any cost at the time. I also told 4Cyte that I had formally made a complaint with the QLD Health Ombudsman.

4Cyte agreed to review the charge. after a couple of weeks the Qld Health Ombudsman case officer message me that 4Cyte will no longer be imposing a cost of $120 on both my wife and I and instead bill Medicare.

If my wife's and mine situation is similar to yours, definately complain to the Health Ombudsman. Also if you had decided that it was not worth the hassle to contest the charge it may still be worthwhile making a formal complaint and see if you can get a refund.

We felt robbed – This 'company' charged us $240 up front for compulsory Covis19 tests we had to have in order to travel. DFAT advised the test was no longer required, weeks before we left. 4cyte refused to refund our money even though we advised we no longer needed the service, weeks before we travelled. Even sent the issue to Fair Trading, but they turned out to be toothless tigers as 4cyte just completely ignored them. Stay away from these money-grabbers!

Beware of dealing with this pathology – After pre-purchasing the international PCR test for a flight in June, travel conditions changed, and we no longer required the tests. I contacted 4cyte for a refund, and they referred to their contractual conditions that there are no refunds. So much for community support when you are keeping money that morally you shouldn't

Bloody Scam – I showed up to a mobile COVID site to have what I thought was a free PCR test. Was not told there would be a fee and did not see any notices that 13 4CYTE were billing or running the test. Nearly three weeks later I get a bill for $120! I tried to call them, but no one answered and after waiting ten minutes my call was ended! What a disgrace!

of us for the test 4. The payment were to paid via "www.4Cyte.com.au/paymybill" or phoning 134298. 5. Rang the phone number and chose the option to speak to a person but just put on hold with nobody answering. 6. I rang Medicare to see if they covered the cost. Told Medicare of the text messangs and that no invoice was provided. Medicare asked if an item number was provided and I said that there was none. Medicare suggested that without an item number, they could not provided any refund and suggested that the texts were scams. 7. I sent an email to the address on 4Cyte's website to check if the 4Cyte do charge and got a response back stating that the charge was $120 per test and is billed within 2 days of the test. The last part was rubbish, the bill came over a month after the test.

After doing an internet search, it appears that this is 4Cyte's mode of operation. If the bill is not paid, a threatening demand from their lawyers is sent if the lawyer's fees added to the cost.

I have made a formal complaint to the Queensland Health Ombudsman.
