Adventure Kings 250W Solar Blanket with Support Legs Questions & Answers
VerifiedI was thinking about buying these light weight solar blankets, but with all the bad reviews thinking might look somewhere else. Have they improved over the last 12 months?
Hi Chris, You can view more recent reviews via Trustpilot (3rd party review company), which is added to the reviews tab on our website - https://www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/products/solar/adventure-kings-250w-solar-blanket-w-legs-mppt-regulator-up-to-20a-charge.html Cheers, Mia
Hi Mia, thank you for the quick reply. Looks like they have improved somewhat, worth a second look
Hi guys I have just got my kings solar blanket out for the first time to day and it’s not charging at all I’m not happy at all what a waste of $450 as first time I have used it camping I haven’t used due to covid
Mine worked well at first but I suspect that a connection between panels has failed. The instructions in mine bore no relation to the actual controller on mine. Make sure you’ve connected to the right Anderson plug. Overall these panels are not rugged enough for outback use and I will be asking for a refund not a replacement next week when I return to the city.
Hi Kevin I am sorry to hear that. Could you please email us your order details and photos/videos showing the issue to social@4wdsupacentre.com.au so we can get this checked out and resolved for you. Thanks, Mia
It’s not charging at all but if I plug in my kings flexible 160 solar panel it’s fine ! The solar blanket is getting picked up Buy my dc to dc charger but there no Amps or voltage coming though I have tested it all as I’m a qualified auto electrician /& Mechnic
Hi Kevin Could you please email me all the relevant information so I can assist Thanks, Mia
I have had an Adventure Kings 250w solar blanket for only about 9 months. It worked fine if a bit low on amperage but now, while it shows 20+ volts it only delivers 0.5 amps. The batteries were not full, and I tried the blanket on several different batteries and with a couple of different controllers. I have concluded that the fault lies with the blanket, and see that others have reported similar problems. What else can I do to prove/disprove that the blanket is faulty?
Hi Geoff, You will need to contact our warranty department and they will request some images with a multimeter from you, I would suggest contacting our team here - https://service.4wdsupacentre.com.au/returns or visiting us in a store so we can inspect your product. If you're having any further issues placing a claim, feel free to contact us on social@4wdsupacentre.com.au for assistance. Regards, Mia
Thanks for the prompt reply Mia. It may be that the problem lies in a broken wire within the panels because while I can get voltage there is virtually no amperage. I’ll contact via the website as we are remote at the moment. Geoff
Geoff, please keep us posted here on product reviews.
Hi Geoff, No worries, feel free to contact me on the above email if you need any further assistance. Regards, Mia
Ignore their rubbish about contacting warranty dept and multi meter crap if you are in WA, just take it back to where you bought it and make it their problem. Most other states have the same consumer law.
Hi Boggs, That information is not correct, our product review team responds to all reviews and emails that come through to us and process warranties straight through to the final stage with the customer. If you have a problem with your order you can email us on the above email or contact our warranty department who can resolve any issues for you. Regards, Mia
