Can't tune channels – Bought this tv a week ago, it went through the automatic tuning but no channels. Tired to tune manually, Phoned the "help desk" in the Phillipines. The lady I spoke to had no idea. She said what she was telling me to do should fix it. Harvey Norman asked if the antenna was plugged in, if it is there's nothing they can do. Show details

Poor picture and poor sound – Bought 30th May 2020 $229 from Harvey Norman. HD picture is not clear, sound is blurred and subdued even at full 100% volume. We tried all the levels of adjustment but no improvement . We will be returning it. Show details

Died after 4 weeks – Purchased on 23 April 2020. On 25 May 2020 used the remote control to power up the TV however it goes through a cycle of powering on and off. Trouble shooting did not resolve the issue...back to the retailer. Show details

'Blew Up' after 18 Months – I have the 39.5" version of this TV. It has had very little use over 18 months - used in holiday house maybe every third weekend. DVD player used only once. Just turned TV on and after about 10 minutes there was a noise sounding like a crack and now the TV is dead. No circuit breakers have been tripped and other appliances still work in the same socket. Product not recommended.  Show details

Great tv! – I bought the 32" version (model #DC322016) of the Akai tv-dvd player. Overall it works well and has a decent picture. It would be nice if the DVD was also a Blue-Ray player but other than that I'm happy with the purchase. The sound is decent and it's the perfect size for my room.  Show details

Average quality TV – Picture quality is not too bad but very hard to view on any angle other than straight on. Sound quality is poor from the built in speakers. Sufficient number of ports. The built in DVD player is great. The remote control is very cheap, as light as a tissue. The writing on the buttons has worn off after less than a year. Had a more expensive… Read more

Samsung previously. Will definitely go back to that brand next time - way better sound, remote, picture, overall quality.

Great colour & simple to use – I watch quite a few DVD's mainly because of the sometime sub standard programs on free to air. The DVD aspect is very easy to set up and control. The picture quality especially when compared to my old TV is way way superior. Many thanks to a very trusted brand-AKAI.  Show details
