ALDI Stirling 28 Bottle / 98L Wine Chiller (May 2020)

Great concept Wine Fridge – I can’t recommend this wine fridge for a major design flaw. When the humidity rises during rainy weather days, the fridges condensate on the outside of the door thus dripping onto the floor. This occurs on all three fridges that we bought and we run 2 at 5 degrees for white wine and 1 at 15 degrees for red wine. Not a good investment
Purchased in for $199.
Thank you for your response. However, these wine fridges are placed in the dining room in our house, not outside or in the garage. Whilst I agree that the issue is the humidity, the point is it does not happen with the standard fridge (Stirling Brand 150 litre) that we bought and placed upstairs. Nor does it happen with other full size common household fridges. These fridges are double glazed doors and the build up is on the outside of the doors. Let me say, the doors are well and truely closed to seal yet the moisture builds up immensely. To say that other brands do as well is an excuse, these fridges are not fit for purpose and should be recalled. You need to address the exact issue not make excuses If you want to take the responses off the public review then pls let me know and we can deal direct. Thank you
Amazing value wine fridge – We have a number of Aldi appliances now and this is right up there for us in terms of value. It's super high quality, quiet and could easily pass off as a premium brand. 3 months in and couldn't be happier with this purchase. In the manual it explains how to increase the capacity to 28 Bottles by removing two of the timber shelves... It also has a basket in the base for larger bottles or Champagne.
Purchased in at ALDI for $279.
Thanks for your feedback Charlie and glad to hear that you are enjoying your wine fridge.
Total lies with regard to capacity! – All advertising lists this model as Holding 28 bottles but we can only fit 18-20 in!! When looking at it any reasonable person would assume that means 28 x 750ml bottles but it comes no where near that. Please explain.
Purchased in at ALDI for $279.
Hi GTaylor, Thanks for your feedback and we are sorry that you are disappointed in this product. Residentia Group partners with Aldi to supply some of the Stirling products, one of them being this particular model. 28 bottle capacity is a maximum capacity achieved by removing two of the timber shelves and stacking bottles directly on top of each other, as many other brands in this segment suggest also. We agree we could have been clearer on how to achieve this capacity, so we apologise. Hopefully aside from this, you're happy with the fridge? Thanks again.

Hi John, thanks so much for taking the time to leave your review of your SWC28 Stirling 28 Bottle Wine Chiller. Residentia Group partners with Aldi to supply some of the Stirling products, one of them being this particular model. Unfortunately this phenomenon is seen with most wine chillers and beverage fridges and relates to too much humid air getting into the appliance and overloading the moisture absorber. It's particularly seen when used in humid climates. During humid days its best to try and avoid opening the fridge too much and it's also worth ensuring the door is really well sealed. The fridges are intended to be used inside the home (i.e. not a garage), so it might be worth trying a different room/environment for your three fridges also? Thanks for taking the time to leave the feedback and review.
