Not long lasting product – Had this product only a few months and already the on/off switch is jammed and part of the plastic around it has broken off. A good product when I first got it. Was happy with the overall performance, however wish the manufacturers could do something about the low sound coming out it, even when turned to the highest level. Slow to go to… Read more

websites and very slow to start. Stays on the Company logo page for a long time. Very annoying.

This was my entry into the tablet world, but will go for something more well known next time.

Cheap and nasty – Thought I'd start using a tablet with something that only cost a couple of hundred dollars - which is cheaper than most tablets but still a lot of money. I had a problem within a couple of weeks and it took absolutely ages for the manufacturer to get it back to me. It's always been incredibly slow to start and operate and not user-friendly -… Read more

which reminds me, the instructions are dreadful. It needed tons of recharging when I used it. It's been less than a year now and won't recharge. Fortunately I wasn't silly enough to leave anything important on it because I never trusted it. It's going in the bin and I won't buy Amicroe again.

Absolute piece of crap – Have had this tablet less than 8 months & it has hardly been used. Problems with screen freezing, & very slow. Battery life is a big thumbs down. unable to even turn it on now & its on charge "Seriously" overlook this tablet as any sort of an option! You get what you pay for I guess, but won't be purchasing any amicroe products again anytime soon!

Steer Away – I bought this for my little girl about July 14, it's now August 17. The battery now wont hold a charge to the point of after 1 hour of use, it's flat. The sound has always been pathetic and when I purchased a Bluetooth speaker for it, the unit would sporadically lock up. I thought it may have been the speaker so I bought a different brand but… Read more

alas, the same issue.

The only reason I went for a cheap tablet ($176.00 at JB HI-FI) is because she was five at the time and I wasn't about to spend a few hundred dollars on a Samsung (we other three family members have one - great units) just in case she dropped it or misused it. As it turns out my fears were unfounded as she treated it in the manner which it should be treated, she has always been gentle with her things but it was a matter of just in case.

The other thing is that the graphics were blurry and undefined but as she is young, I didn't think that it would be an issue with her, it wasn't.

I will now be buying her a Samsung and tossing this piece of crap in the bin.

Had trouble – My tablet is only 8 months old, wouldn't charge and became unresponsive. I was going to chuck it and purchase something else but in settings you can restore it back to factory settings, gave it a shot amazing all problems fixed it's working perfectly.

Good price for the features with a few detractors – Good features for the price with bluetooth (not included on many of the more expensive brands) and the separate usb host/otg ports. Battery died however after I lost the charger for a few months and the tablet went flat. Other downsides include the poor build quality, weight and the 9V charging system, which I've only seen on this tablet and prevents it from being USB charged.

You Get What You Pay For – I bought four of these tablets 13 months ago at Harvey Norman, Brisbane CBD. It was our entry point into tablet world. They were great at the beginning, however only one of them is working now. They are responsive, good screen. Sound is terrible, very faint. However it had phone jack so I mainly used it with that. Wi-fi, bluetooth, mini hdmi… Read more

slot, usb slot,sd card slot ,it basically has everything you need for a good experience. Great battery life.

However, after 13 months, two of the tablets' screens have become unresponsive with 'ghost fingering'. Totally unusable. Power buttons started failing/jammed. The third tablet has problems not recognising the charger. All tablets are in good condition and home use only, never dropped or trashed.

My advice, save your dough and get something decent...not an AMICROE. Battery life. Affordable. Sound. Screen. Quality is not there. don't last.

Not too bad at all – I bought this tablet at Harvey Norman in North Ryde / Macquarie Park. It was my first tablet and overall it is not bad both in functionality, performance and looks. The screen resolution is good and the responsiveness is quite good for the price. The battery really lasts long, much longer than both my phone and laptop. Now on the negative side… Read more

of things... from the start the mic had never worked and initially I thought it was just the settings. The volume is not very good and not loud enough. The keypad sound/noise can't be suppressed or turned off unless you turn off the device volume completely which can be irritating. It's also a bit bigger and heavier than its more expensive counterparts but that's not a problem.

Also the plastic coating on the edge started cracking and frame started coming out at the corner. But the most disappointing thing was the reaction of the Harvey Norman staff, apparently their IT manager. He started accusing me of dropping the tablet and it was his job to prevent people like me of rorting the warranty system. To say I was offended is an understatement.

In conclusion I was say it's a good tablet for the price, despite the issues I have outlined above. They just need to polish the few issues, oh and please make a case/stand for it. Cheap, good resolution, longer battery life, Android/Play Store Cracks on plastic coating, poor sound, no mic, bigger/heavier, keypad sound unsuppressed

Great product for the money! – I'm with Peter, I've had an Amicroe Touchtab 4 for 9 months, I also purchased it at Harvey Norman and it's amazing. it's never missed a beat and we play things like Candy Crush everyday and use it for work from time to time. Very long battery charge and it cost less than most people want for a 7" tablet.. Long battery charge. Fast performance, Speakers could be louder, I've connected a bluetooth speaker to ramp it up.

Absolutely rubbish – 8 weeks after purchase the unit is completely unusable. Flimsy plastic that cracks easily and it won't recognise the power adapter so it can't be charged. Now I'm without a tablet to work off while I wait for service. The sales person at Harvey Norman was sympathetic and said that the local Amicroe supplier was slow & unresponsive and they had a… Read more

lot of customers with the same problems waiting for their unit to be swapped out. Not good. It looks OK Flimsy plastic, bad power supply, slow service

Stopped working after 3 weeks – I bought this tablet because it was cheap. I only wanted it for photos, accessing FB and checking emails. At 3 weeks the screen started responding to "invisible fingers" and just did it's own thing for a few minutes. Soon after the screen would not respond to me at all. It essentially had a melt down and stopped working. To turn it off I had to… Read more

just let the battery go flat.

Tech worker at Harvey Norman only too willing to either swap it over or give money back as he has seen "too many this week" being returned. Cheap price, and seemingly good quality... until...! Apparently screen failure is a common problem. Only lasted 3 weeks

Excellent value – JellyBean very fast and easy to use. Google play access no problems. Battery life good for reading surfing haven't timed but seems at least 6 hrs. Feels solid. Micro usb and memory card slot makes it more useful than tablets that have fixed memory. Wireless fine around house. Can put music and pdfs on memory card without needing any specialist… Read more ·  1

software and so is easy for novices. Best value tablet I can find for price $197. 4:3 format makes book reading easier. Speaker at back can be hard to hear if resting it on blanket in bed.
