Angas Park Australian Pitted Prunes Questions & Answers
I’ve eaten AP pitted prunes for some years; the quality seems to have reduced in recent time… less juicy, drier, less sweet. What is the reason? If this is a long term trend I will no longer purchase AP prunes / products as I can get similar quality products at a more reasonable price.
I’ve only bought the Pitted prunes by accident. The pitted ones are not always Australian. I threw out the last pack. They were horrible. Buy the Whole Australian Prunes. $9.00 per kilo as opposed to $14.00. Prepared 500g in a bowl covered with water, micro on medium high for six minutes. Cover and keep in fridge.
Thx
Recently finished pack of Angas Park pitted prunes, they were delicious, soft and juicy. Bought another packet same brand, this time the packet stated Australian pitted prunes.... wow what a difference, dryer, smaller not nearly as nice. Is there a difference in packaging and quality? because I don't enjoy theses at all.
Hi,Karen, I was referring to the whole prunes with the seed, not pitted ones. Cheers Thud
Yes just finished a packet with stones in (Australian prunes) and some were fleshy and others dry and hard... I don't get it and the company is not helping...
Why are packets of "pitted" prunes containing some non pitted prunes or worse, fragments of pits inside prunes?

Are Angus Park prunes Australian fruit? I noticed on the package it said "imported fruit" but on website it states Australian fruit! Which is it please?
