The iPad came pretty quickly and is more than suitable for our needs. It did have a few minor scratches but we were expecting that.

Ordered the refurbished model. Screen has some issues. Also the cost was a bit expensive. Could have got A16 for more 150 AUD. Show details

check and double check because they are not forthcoming with info, all they want is to make a sale – Bought this ipad just a few months ago and even though it is discontinued this review will be applicable to any Apple Ipad. Because Apple has a way to screw you into spending more money than is necessary. Apple have this thing in place for their ipads so that you can get get wifi from NBN or mobile hotspots however when it comes time to do… Read more

software updates you can't do them via your iphone hotspot even though the ipad is connected to the internet, when I bought my ipad the store asked me what type of connection do you have, I said mobile only and not once did they mention to me about not being able to do software updates from mobile internet only. That information was imperative to my purchase and they failed to tell me and I am NOT tech savvy enough to have even thought to ask that question, because when they told me it would connect to the internet I was under the impression that everything would work fine in my ipad from the connection I have, after all internet connection is still internet so why not allow software updates....APPLE??

After speaking with Apple in AMERICA they told me to do the update via my iTunes account, which I did, I got the conformation that the update was SUCCESSFULLY DONE from my iTunes acc, however when I looked at my ipad it was still showing that it Can't update ipad because their is no internet, I DID have internet and apparently I am still entitled a refund or swap if the item is faulty, so again, APPLE you are losing me as loyal customer, because your products are getting stupidly expensive and the quality has slipped severely.

Not to mention Apple would not give me a refund or swap on my UNOPENED item, I am annoyed and have lost my love of Apple products after this.

2 pics below one showing the confirmed software update completed in my iTunes account and the second pic showing the next day after update that my iPad in fact has NOT been updated, so go figure.

Practicality – It’s good , however I have had many problems that I’ve never encountered before , it’s storage is a plus but not necessary, recommended for someone busy , 256 storage js a lot and not necessary, You could save money by buying an iPad with 64 GB storage , recommended. It’s good . Show details ·  1

Will not disappoint, value for money – Bought the Apple iPad 10.2inch 9th Gen / 64GB / 2021 to replace a iPad Mini 2nd Generation Cellular. Did not even entertain the thought of opting for the Cellular version as experience dictated it was nothing but a waste of money and Wi-Fi is widely available these days. Apple offer just two storage options – a 64GB or 256GB. The 256GB version is… Read more

another outright waste of money unless you are a keen photographer, games or video buff. Then you would need that extra storage. Ideally, I would have preferred 128GB so settled for the 64GB version. The 256GB version, costing around 48% MORE than the 64GB version is a rip-off. At least with the iPads, one gets a USB-C to Lightning Cable and a charger – a 20W USB-C Power Adapter. However, Apple continues ripping off iPhone buyers as Power Adapters (chargers) are an optional extra. After all, one would never buy a car where the fuel tank is an optional extra. I have only had this iPad for a month but first impressions are that it’s brilliant. It’s superfast, easy to use and without any glitches. Build quality is good as are finishes and attention to detail. However, it’s a large item with a large screen that needs extra care when handling. Regardless of case type, I predict it will not survive intact if dropped. So caution at all times when in use. I had 7 years of great use out of my original iPad Mini which apart from the Home button expiry, is still going and hopefully the new Apple iPad 10.2inch 9th Gen / 64GB / 2021 will provide the same. The Apple iPad 10.2inch 9th Gen / 64GB / 2021 has very high ratings internationally and it’s easy to see why, based on my brief experience. Excellent value for money at around $550 as one cannot buy any iPhone for that price. At the outset, I am exceptionally happy with this product. However, if things deteriorate, I will definitely amend my review in due course.

Android Convert (sortof) – This is my first Apple product, sort-of knowing what to expect, and a few surprises and disappointments. The build quality seems to be robust, and there are plenty of helpful features and tools making the iPad use comfortable, my favourite being the TruTone filters. Adjusting the apps to my specs was a learning curve, but once setup they all… Read more

work as they should.

I was disapointed in the sound quality. I am accustomed to my Samsung's tablet with four speakers firing stereo sound in landscape and portrait view. The iPad 9th Gen's single firing speaker at the bottom (in portrait} doesn't produce the stereo affect. I suppose that a pair of bluetooth headphones will sort that issue.

With the unit being Wifi and Cellular, I assumed that with a SIM card inserted, standard phone calls were permitted. No. It'\s data only, though apps such as Facebook Messenger, FaceTime, ZOOM and other telecommunication apps takes up the slack, but in Australis at least, it's difficult to find a provider with data only plans.

But I'll have the best of all worlds. wifi at home, and if I need data on the iPad I'll hotspot my mobile phone for that purpose.

Over all, I am pleased with it, but coming from Android, it'll take getting used to.

Apple - No email address +No Text replies + Bad Delivery = Awful Customer Service – Keep getting texts and emails about how they did not deliver. Can't reply to any of them. Still waiting for a regular iPad purchased 7 weeks ago. I paid for delivery and I expected delivery for my father who is 87 yo and always home. We have our suspicions that attempted delivery even happened appropriately or at all. Was not at the post office… Read more

listed and spent over half an hour on the phone trying to phone Australia Post (who also don't reply to messages) REF: 46213552. Maybe the out-sourced contract deliverer who probably works for slave wages on a temporary visa who couldn't spent more than 30 seconds at the door if at all.

I'm getting texts and emails from Apple saying it is at a post office but Apple's customer service is so bad, there is no way to reply to any of these messages.

Hey Apple, you're a big company. Don't send people texts and emails if you don't intend taking customer replies. This sort of shoddy customer service should be banned by the federal government - if you operate a text or email service, then you mandatorily should provide the basic right of reply. We're living in a crap world run by the mega rich, and sneaky hand-picked politically consumed types in government who are totally out of touch, employing shrewd and deplorable tactics which need striking down. This overall experience affects the quality of the end product.

Great upgrade for an iPad – Had an iPad min for years. Great tablet but had reached its use by date. Updated to the gen 9. Not disappointed, fast for everyday use. Mail is the same, apps transfer without a problem, especially the productivity apps, secure, easy to use, hotspot tethering great, good internal storage, solid construction for a tablet, typical of Apple. Cannot fault it. Show details

Stay away from this piece of junk – Had this piece of junk for a week. If your using a Bluetooth speaker especially with Apple maps the sound lags very bad..also just be careful with the glass screen. It's very brittle as I was using it on my lap. and all of a sudden the screen cracked running across the whole screen and then started to craze all over. Oh by the way this ipad was… Read more

in a shock and drop proof case and a expensive one at that.. you can see with the receipt it's just over a week old...just took it to Apple and they said it has been dropped. I told them like hell it has. Apple do not replace the glass you have to buy a new unit at a discounted price of $385.00..I put this down to failure which should be covered under warranty..so would I recommend this unit.. hello noooo...infact if you like been ripped off go with Apple if not stay away And to think I was going to swap over to Apple from Samsung and I was going buy a $2000 I phone the shivers ran down my back...no thankyou So basically I will be sticking with samsung And giving Apple a wide birth Stay away from this unit
