It all began with that apple from – My iPad Air2 was my very first bite of the apple. Having avoided Apple in the past because of the collusive price control practices, I began my research without high expectations. My plan was to move away from my virus prone laptop that weighed a heap with its add on battery pack to a tablet. We travel a lot and after two months on the go… Read more
overseas, I was determined to travel lighter by shedding the Canon camera with all the go good lenses and the ASUS laptop with the i7 processor and spiral digital drive which was very quick when it was virus free. The iPad simply whopped it. Faster, double the battery life and a tiny fraction of the weight. I find the camera to be a weak element but as long as there are no plans to blow the holiday pics onto giant canvases, then the quality is fine. The built in edit functions are more than adequate and all the usual photo/collage and photo book functions are easy to use. The downside of the iPad is really the keyboard. It is a mammoth fail. For old arthritic hands that could still touch-type on the laptop, the iPad keyboard just doesn’t cut it. Any attempts to touch-type will result in more time editing than it takes to type in the first place. I just need a keyboard that is 50% bigger and a little less touch sensitive.
Anyway, I know how Adam felt! I now have an iPhone and my other half has a pad and phone too.
cheers, flapgum
Great screen but average durability – The screen looks really nice and is bright, in part due to the fact that for the first time in an iPad the digitiser and LCD are fused together. This gives a better appearance but unfortunately means that if the screen is cracked the whole LCD panel may need to be replaced as well as the digitiser (the same LCD may be able to be used but a… Read more
delicate process is required to reuse it). It is very fast and fluid, I have never had a reason to complain about its speed. The cameras are average just like most tablets on the market. The storage capacity is unable to expand (like all other Apple iOS devices), so it is better to buy a larger capacity model even if it is more expensive.
Due to the thinness of this iPad and the aluminium body it can quite easily bend if pressure is applied to it in certain situations (such as in a backpack). If dropped on a corner the screen is likely to crack due to the thinness of the aluminium around the edge of the device. Outside of these scenarios the device feels very sturdy.
Technology and The Old Aged (66) Disability Pensioner surviving The New Age – I owned an Apple Air iPad for several years and feeling adventurous I upgraded with both support from Telstra and Apple Support to the Apple Air 2 iPad 64 GB. Great move mostly. Great graphics, screen size, extra speech, Siri to help out, every day I find something new the latest find accidentally to be truthful was that as I began typing the word… Read more
above the keyboard were th fully finished words and I found that I only needed to touch on the finished word and not finish typing out the full word. Having a chronic health issue that at times created jerking spasams I was continually wiping out the rewriting the same word often several times but now this great addition to my new iPad is a wonder for me a great relief. The hold set up of graficsand sounds, shapes bold or not so bolder the writing chosen. The built in viral protector and just recently the added application from the APP Store of the Adobe Flash for Apple implementation. Sometimes the would like to simply sit back and watch the world go by but not without my iPad.

Either the perfect portable mini-office OR the moving entertainment centre – One of the best purchases I have ever made. I used it so much, it's unbelievable. The screen is perfect size for watching movies, working on spreadsheets, documents, reading ebooks, retouching photos, editing videos, and so many other stuff. It'd be lovely if Apple provides a longer charging cable, cause the current one is too short if you're… Read more
spending hours on it and the powerpoint is NOT conveniently located. Apps are running smooth, the camera is not the best, but to be honest it's not the kinda thing that I'm caring with me just to take photos... for that reason I have my iPhone. :) Otherwise it's the perfect equipment to serve a portable mini-office (reading, writing, editing and so many other important operations). Also, for commuters and travellers it's the perfect entertainment company.
The best iPad ever – I bought this so I can text, view photos, watch YouTube, play games and download apps also the Touch ID makes it simpler to access your iPhone without your passcode. Show details
Great item – I have had this over 3 years now and cannot fault it. It runs fast, smooth, touch screen very responsive. Resolution I find to be excellent sound quality is wonderful and it’s bluet connection is good can’t really fault it. Battery life still beats so many other tabs. Best tab I have used and bought. Still functions well and uses all apps without a problem. Love it Show details
Negative reviews
Not half bad – Use it for mainly casino games for my elderly grandmother, so she doesn't waste money, and for general home business. Good for some items, bad for a few like it's slow and unresponsive. Storage is okay, albeit non replaceable. Lightning charger is cost prohibitive in replacing cables. Will be useful for a year then maybe an upgrade. Show details
Great for basic things – I do enjoy owning an Ipad, for watching movies and going online, however since i purchased this i also purchased a laptop, as i realized this doesn't have a disc or USB port, doesn't come with Word and overall not as east to use as a laptop. I'll definitely keep it though for traveling to watch movies and such! Show details
I pad air 2 pro Bluetooth capabilities – Their are millions of couples/ husband, wife , brother sister , buddy's etc. that would love to watch a movie together and listen to two sets of blue tooth audio at the same time to watch a movie or show or whatever. But this is not permitted. You can connect to two Bluetooth devices but not at the same time, audio anyway. What a shame, all the money they make yet can't make an app or just allow this function to work . SHAME, SHAME ON Show details

Best Product Ever – Have this product for over 2 years and is a daily use and I absolutely love this IPAD, charging lasts more than 3 days on full charge so cannot be more happier Show details
Works Great and easy to use – My first IPad and works great. My son uses this all the time now and knows how to use it easily though he started using it as a toddler. Plenty of Apps for them to learn from. Easy to use and good screen clarity. Though the cameras aren’t great but that’s what they are built for, mostly browsing. Show details
Excellent and fast IPad – Have always loved apple products because of their reliability and this one too didn’t let me down. Works well everywhere and even pretty good on Cellular network as well. Though I mostly use it on wifi. Show details
GREAT IPAD! – Great Ipad. I bought it for my son and he loves it. Battery holds pretty well and the display is awesome. No lag when playing games. Make sure to buy a decent ipad case/cover. Edges can be very delicate. I've always had an ipad and i think they keep making it better with every launch. Show details

Esspeciallly for school. Show details
Great pad using it every day – Great iPad I use it every day. The speed is great but the camera is terrible the battery on the iPad Air 2 is great but because I use the iPad everyday the battery has worn a bit but I still can use it for nearly a whole day. Overall fantastic iPad. Show details
Awesome tablet! – I traded in my older iPad Air for the new iPad Air 2 (6th generation) at the apple store in Chatswood a few days ago. Great professional service, great trade in value - very happy with my new iPad. My next purchase will be the compatible pen..... Show details
Great product – The Apple iPad with wifi and cellular is so great as you can use it out of the house using your phone plan which makes it so easy. We have it on a shared phone plan with plenty of data so it’s super easy to use the Internet, watch movies, video chat and check emails while out and about. Show details
Good and cheap – I bought it for the convenience of my student so I will be able to not bring my computer instead. I am happy with all the functions. I can read the powerpoint, word or excel on my iPad and I am also able to jot notes in my lecture slides. Show details
Very good iPad – Very good iPad in general, it has a great display and when paired with a shock absorbing case, relatively sturdy. Battery life has faded quite a bit after a few years though, and since I bought an iPhone I haven't used it much. It was bought refurbished online and was just as good as new. Show details
This is perfect – Bought the second Ipad Air 2 for my son's education purpose during special. Even thought it is more expensive, the screen is much better on the eyes than the 2017 model. Highly recommended. The battery seemed to last longer after the latest update, and it is perfect size for young kids to learn. Show details
Highly recommend the iPad Air 2! – I absolutely love my iPad Air 2, it's great for watching movies, playing games and browsing the internet. I really enjoy the iOS on the iPad and I believe it has a lot to offer. The only problem I don't like about the iPad Air 2 is that the speaker isn't quiet loud enough and sound vibrates through the entire iPad which you can feel even with a case on, it is worse without a case, other then that it's great. I really like it – It has all the great functions I need. Very big and clear screen to watch movies and read books or news. It is of good price now. Plus this is quite light and easy to carry. I also love it because of so many useful apps for ipad are available. Show details

The perfect all-purpose iPad – This iPad can be used for all purposes. Taking notes in class, reading books easily, taking high-resolution photos. The processing power allows you to play videos and games in high quality in a bigger screen than iPhones and you can carry it around more easily than laptops. Absolutely perfect for me. Show details
Great for gaming – I use my ipad for gaming and reading, both of which the device excelled at. It has been 4 years and it is still going strong. The only downside is that IOS updates can slow down the device, I recommend sticking to the lowest usable IOS version to increase the longevity of the device. The battery life is amazing, it can last 1-2 weeks without charging if not used and several days with heavy use. Show details
Good price point for iPad – While the latest vanilla iPad model has superceded the iPad Air 2, it doesn't quite have the same price advantage that the Air 2 had. This is an incredibly versatile and lightweight device with the iPad's signature long battery life that will make any under-10-hour flight blow by really quickly. It is also incredibly durable, having personally… Read more
dropped it in its case on a few occasions from ungodly heights to find it still intact and uncracked! It has started to take the place of my macbook for meetings and document presentations as it doesn't feel as clunky or slow as my previous iPad Air felt due perhaps to its lower RAM.
If you can get a good deal on a brand new one now, I would seize it. It's still great value.
Awesome – Dropped it a few times and it hasn't cracked yet. It is lighter than the old ipad and really easy to carry. Pretty fast and the visuals are really nice too. When I first got it I thought it was worth every dollar. It is just so helpful for everything and when you need a bigger screen than your phone but also want something more convinient than your laptop Show details
Abosoloutely brilliant – The new iPad air 2 was a WOW factor. I was very impressed by the supreme quality of the touch sensor and the overall smoothness and performance of the device. I would recommend this iPad to anyone because it is so brilliant! Lighter than the previous model, and thinner as well. I believe this is the best tablet on the market today. Show details
Great for on the go! – Great little machine. I have 128gb memory on mine and very useful as I do a lot of things on my iPad. Heaps of apps you can upload. I have other iPads and macs in the house so very easy to share info across all devices. Only thing is that it doesn’t have flash and has problems running online games or programs which use flash. Absolutely love it – I love my iPad. I use it for everything. Emails for work, social media, watching Netflix, YouTube and Twitch, reading books and comics and Listening to Podcasts. Screen is beautiful, runs apps perfectly, couldn't reccomend it enough. Even though I've had it for a while battery life is still good. Love it. Show details
Fragile but Fun – So when I first got this, I only had an ipad gen1 before this, so my expectations were not set high. When I received it, I saw the sleek, thin design which had lit up my eyes. The software is silky smooth and compatible with my parents who are generally not in touch with technology. The first couple of months were great, but that was only because… Read more
I never took it outside. When I DID take it outside, It dropped from my bag a mere 1 feet on the sidewalk and it cracked all over for me. Now, I only keep it inside and I have no problems with it. Its a great multitasker and can last me a few days in my case. I use it almost every day and it helps me all the time.
Love(ing) it – This was my first ever tablet. I am a samsung fan for phones. So i was 90 percent sure to get a samsung tablet. But on suggestions from my friends, i decided to try the ipad. I got the gold coloured one. I generally dont like to use a laptop always for normal google searches or watching movies and stuff and phone screens are too small to watch a… Read more
movie or something. That was the main reason i wanted to get a tablet. Till date, i have never been disappointed. I am literally using my ipad for most of my work and the experience has been smooth....until i updated it to the latest ios, It has gotten a little bit slower but not very noticeable. I would recommend you all to not update it especially for old series iof gadgets. Otherwise no regrets.
Great piece of tech – I enjoy using this iPad. I’ve dropped it on multilevel occasions and it still works and has not cracked. One of the best things about this iPad is the size it’s perfect for reading recipes off and playing games. I take a lot of notes with this iPad and it is really handy and thin to take in my bag for university. Show details

using and have always used the apple charger provided although recently my iPad has been saying “not charging” after I plug it in. Dissapointing but other than that I would highly recommend the iPad Air 2!
Perfect – This is my third Ipad,so you can guess I love apple. As an older person who loves reading but can no longer hold books it is a godsend, but saying that,it is so easy to use,and I can do everything on it, so I no longer use my laptop at all. anyone ( of a certain age) who is nervous of using computers, trust me,the ipad is soooooo easy, love mine. Ipad Air 2 is still the tablet people should be purchasing – I really had wished you could use the apple pencil or keyboard with this tablet. Because those are literally the two main reasons i needed it for but despite this it is an excellent made product with attention to detail and fast software. I take a lot of notes with this iPad and it is really handy and thin to take in my bag for university. Show details
