Apple iPad Pro (7th Gen) (2024)

Very poor experience with this device purchased early 2025. Slow, long lags between taps and responses. Screen is touch insensitive has to be hit hard with fingers to register taps, multiple very hard taps necessary to register any tap at all most of the time. The OS (iPadOS) is a total mess, and the familiar apps I use most have been butchered. Now trying to find alternative apps outside Apple for required functionality. Predictive text feature is now utterly appalling and causes me to scream at my device many times every day. I'm using iPad less and less and regard it with contempt. Most of what I used to use the iPad for I now find myself doing on other devices, usually my old iPhone XR, which is also suffering with the severe degradation to the operating system. A disappointing comedown on the excellent iPad Pro 10.5 (2017) which was a great tablet. Ten years ago I was a fan of My disappointment extends to all my Apple products (2 iPhones, 2 iPad Pros), and this disaffection has grown dramatically over the past five years because of successive OS upgrades making functionality and productivity progressively worse each time. The product range is now so bad I am preparing to leave the Apple ecosystem altogether, and once I do, I won't be returning.
Purchased in at Apple Australia for $2,399.
