i paid about $800 when new that included tech setting it up and making sure it was working properly, wouldnt buy another combo though they can be very dangerous if left alone on dryer as mine tended to get extremely hot.

Hi, I bought a daewoo inverter washer/dryer DWC-WD 1113.

When I use the dryer, clothes comes out smell like burned. Dr but smells like burned..

Also the kitchen where it's installed smells like burning while it's drying..

I tried almost everything...

Any ideas please?

Jey jones
Jey jones

Hi Waleed E If you bought the machine recently then it will still be under guarantee, so you can contact Daewoo to repair the fault. Otherwise you will need to get an engineer to look at it. But it sounds faulty and even dangerous. I would recommend you not using it until it gets looked at.

How do you use the dryer function! The cycle runs but it does not dry one bit. I have a Daewoo Inverter DWC LD1421 machine

I have newly purchase a daewoo washer/dryer combo machine. Without reading the manual, I have put some load in it and set it to tub clean. After the washing/drying, there was an error blinking on the screen. It looked like E6/C6/G6 (I couldn't quite get it as it seems like circling). It was still locked after the process and I just manually turned it off so I could open its door. Is there anything wrong now with the machine?

Greg0000
Greg0000

Tub Clean is for cleaning the crap out of the machine. It's not excpecting to see any load. No wonder it came up with (looks like an out of balance) error code!

What were you thinking?

How can I just dry a load of washing without going through a wash cycle?

Greg0000
Greg0000

No. You must wash the load first.

Hi please. Can I wash my blanket in my washing machine?

Vash
Vash

Hi Waters yes, sure- we wash our queen blankets sometimes but be aware that the blanket tends to become unsettled and the machine would then stop / go into 'unbalanced error' mode. Simply take out the blanket and reload it. You would have to spin it a couple times before starting to dry it - also dont forget to turn off the water inlet tap, I do that before starting the dryer so it dries without spraying water onto the clothing- a steam iron effect.

If you intend to wash blankets, do one at a time so it washes and spins properly.

Mitzy
Mitzy

As long as it's within the weight limit of the machine remember they are heavier when wet

Greg0000
Greg0000

Quick note to Vash: It's a Condenser Dryer. It actually uses the water to condense the steam out of the drum to dry the clothes! If you turn the water off, it basically cannot function as a dryer. Must take a helluva long time to dry that way.

It doesn't actually spray water onto the clothes, just onto an internal metal surface to condense the water.

I have just bought the DWC-LD1412 washer/dryer and cannot work out how to set it to dry once the quick 20 minute wash has ended. I know that option does not automatically dry so the standalone dry option is what I am seeking. Pressing only the DRY button after turning on does not advance drying options shown. The machine just locks it's door. Any help? Thanks

Vash
Vash

Hi Tony Just be sure to check your clothing hadnt moved akwardly or is heavier after washing - lots of bath towls ;blankets jeans. An unbalanced load would sometimes cause it not to work a chosen cycle. Just open, move the clothing around or reload them or even just take some out while you put the remainder on another 14min spin cycle abd then try drying that. And then do the remainder.

If you have the time, watch it while it runs through the quick wash- checking that it wash; drains and spins as it should. It maybe again too heavy or unbalanced load that causing it to stop / not take a program.

And if that didnt help, try checking theres no dirt in the door rubber and also check / clean out the washing filter. If you standing infront of the machine, its on your bottom right corner behind that little white cover. Thin flat head in the slot and it levers open easily.

It weighs a bloody good deal but get it to a place that you can open the filter - if its blocked, itl be holding a small ocean.

Try for regular filter clean / checks if you go through alot of washing. It tends to collect alot of fine gunky stuff in the filter...then that just might us- with our kids, theres laundry everyday :(

Hope this helps :)

Hi Gale

sorry fot the late response but I see its been answered already. Its one if those 'firm pull to open' kinda doors. Just be sure its powered on and the door lock light is not showing and itl open with a firm pull.

What smelling fabric softener can I use whilst drying as clothing smells terrible following drying?

Vash
Vash

Hi Chris I don't really anything particular but I suggest trying a different wash powder and similar fragrance softner that way the clothing would have a stronger smell after drying. If that doesn't help, try an extra spin or rinse cycle before drying.

*** Just a heads up to everyone else, please also do check and clean the washing filter, ( front bottom right of the machine), we tend to use our machine quite a bit and if the filter is not cleaned, it affects the spin cycle causing the machine to stop without fully spinning the clothes. ***

Hi!

I just bought the washer dryer combo. I didn't find any lint slot, as in other dryers. Are we suppose to remove lint after each use of dryer?

Vash
Vash

Hi Shazia It does'nt have a lint filter per say but I've noticed during drying it will still pump out water as during wash or rinse cycles, but more like a dribble of water with lint in it. Also, depending on what youre drying ie. blankets or fluffy material clothing, lint tends to build up between the door and rubber lining. I normally just fish it out or wipe it down after dry is done.

Just a note about drying- because its a condenser dryer, it tends to use water during drying. So clothing tends to come out well steamed. This drives my wife insanely mad but I found a couple shakes and steams out and clothes are dry....something shes not impressed about. But the bonus is that clothes are not 'dryer burnt' and dont need much ironing afterwards.

Hope this helps :)

How can I stop the machine from leaking? It does it randomly. Sometimes weeks apart. Filter is clean. Also it often fails to spin, even when a fairly small load is in.

Vash
Vash

HI Woody63 I found that not only the size or weight or the items in the load but sometimes the items shift or become unbalanced and this leads to the machine stopping without completing a spin dry. It would show a funny symbol on the display, hit power or the start button and the machine switches off. Then just shift around the items and restart the program you needed. This works for me.

As for the leaking.. Again, it was one that puzzled me and I thought it may be because of too much items loaded and when wet them become even heavier.....so I stopped washing the king blankets in it :P It has behaved itself for a while but I have also kept the item loads to quite little and this has helped.....until my wife uses it = wet garage carpets;( She thinks it's a total piece of c**p

Hope this helps you out :)

King blankets wow that will tax any machine. Leaks from where . shaking from unbalance possibly cause hose on rear to come loose or the front door rubber needs to be cleaned and de scaled or is it damaged .

run machine empty with 1/2 cup of bicarb to clean once a year.

mine is 2 yrs old now and still running perfect ,not bad for an Ebay purchase..
